There's no other climbing centre quite as unique as Awesome Walls Stockport! We offer a first class indoor climbing experience regardless for complete novices to experienced rock athletes! Taster Sessions for beginners, Birthday parties, Group booking, Climbing Coaching, Kids Clubs- we offer it all in a safe and warm environment. All of our instructors are qualified, experienced and great fun to be with. If you have any questions or special requirements, please don't hesitate to phone, email or drop in. Awesome walls (stockport) was booked as a half term activity for me and 2 children. The booking experience was simple but the service (Josh) was excellent. He made us all feel very at ease on the walls, explained everything clearly and even ran over on our time to allow us all to complete a trickier wall. A highly professional employee and made the experience thoroughly enjoyable. I’ll definitely be back. Thank you!

We had our son’s tenth birthday party here and would highly recommend. He brought four friends with him and they all had a great time.
The instructor, Rob, was great with the kids and encouraged the ones who were a bit nervous to have a go and got them all climbing in no time.
Some of the walls are very high but the kids didn’t seem to bother too much and they all had a good go at even the highest walls.
We went for the 1.5 hour party and would recommend this if you’re bringing five kids so they get maximum climbing time, I think the shorter party would probably have been too short.

We held our daughter’s 10th birthday party here on Sunday and it was brilliant. Really relaxed, space upstairs where other family members can watch. We could bring our own party food and cake in and hired a table for a small fee. With no rushing for time. We booked the 1.5 hour session with 8 kids and the instructors were patient and kind. They all had an excellent time and so did the adults. Would highly recommend for a party and we will definitely be going back to climb ourselves! X

Our climbing induction was superb. Our friendly instructor Cally helped guide us through the essentials, making us feel safe and secure and from there we were able to climb by ourselves in confidence.
The facilities are wide ranging with lots to try so we definitely will be coming back.

Had my child’s birthday party yesterday. The instructor was organised and good with kids and they all enjoyed their climbing session. Seating area and toilets were clean. To be fair the sofas at the seating area were torn which did make the place look a bit run down. And I requested for bolt on for party bags but they didn’t have any stickers or magnets left despite me requesting it weeks in advance, which was a shame. The staff were friendly and all in all the kids had a lovely time.

We went to Awesome Walls as a last minute family activity, there were six of us in the party.
This was our first experience of climbing and we thoroughly enjoyed the day.
We booked a two hour fun session and our instructor, Neil, was very good at explaining what was involved, nothing was rushed and we had a great time.
We started on the low free climb walls and worked our way up to high walls where you had rope attached. This certainly tests your strength and stretches your abilities.
Although we all went away very tired it as a great day and choice for an afternoon whether with family or friends.
Would recommend you try this experience.

I did quite a bit of rock climbing in my teens and 20s (a long time ago as I am now in my 70s) and thought it would be fun for my granddaughters to try in a controlled environment so we went to Awesome Walls, Stockport. One 15 year old, one 8 year old and me. What a fantastic time we had. The instructor was really excellent in every way and the girls say it was the best day out all holiday. They were climbing confidently on varying types of wall and with the auto-belay by the end. I would recommend it to anyone and will definitely be going again - Totally safe, so friendly and helpful (10 out of 10 to the staff)

I recently went for a Boulder and Auto Belay Induction where I was taught about the different bouldering and auto-belay climbs. The different grading of climbs was explained so I could start with the one most suitable for my level of experience. I was shown how to correctly put on my harness and how to connect the carabiner clip from the auto belay onto my harness correctly. I was told about all the safety checks that need to be completed before starting to climb and why there so important.
Gavin was friendly, patient and calming which was great for me as I suffer with anxiety. I felt totally comfortable throughout the entire induction and felt completely competent and safe to climb by myself.
I highly recommend going for an induction at Awesome walls, all the staff were super friendly and helpful. I felt so relaxed and had a great afternoon. Looking forward to going back and climbing!

I treated my children to the induction session for a Christmas treat. It was an hour session and we had instructor Cally. She was great with the children really friendly and encouraging. Would highly recommend a trip here for something a bit different

First visit to Awesome walls Stockport today, booked a taster session for 3 people comprising a 9 year old, a 41 year old and a 66 year old. Ash was great, really friendly and helpful and made us all feel safe. We achieved far more than we'd thought we would and really enjoyed it. Thanks and hope to be back soon, I'd recommend this to anyone and that's from a scaredy cat who is afraid of heights!

Hi there
We are open Monday-Friday 10:00-22:00 and Saturday and Sunday 10:00-20:00.
Little Angels Kids Club is held every Monday and Friday evening between 6.00 and 8.00pm and 10.00am-12.00pm sessions on Saturday and Sunday mornings, for only £9.50 your children can enjoy 2 hours rock climbing with an experienced instructor and meet new friends.
We also run 1 hour taster sessions for 2 or more people. These are £19 for adults and £15 for under 18s.
