An interesting & varied experience. Knowledgeable guides, working machinery & fascinating information which, amongst other things, explains many well known colloquial phrases.Excellent hat display at end. A must if you have visitors staying & dion't know where to take them locally!

If you just wander about this museum you will not get the most out of it. If you take the guided tour (£5, less for Concessions) it is likely to exceed your expectations. I found the hat production process absolutely fascinating. The lady on Reception...More

To a point. Hats and clothes to try on and lots to see. The work room may be a bit boring and noisy if the machines are being demonstrated

Hi there, Hat Works is just a 5 min walk from the train station and a 2 min walk from the bus station. It is signposted from the train station and the building can be clearly seen from the bus station. Thanks
