This is a hilly but lovely area for an afternoon drive and on a clear day you can see for miles over 4 counties:- Berkshire, Hampshire, Oxfordshire and Wiltshire.

Fabulous 5+ miles circular walk from either the Swan or Crown & Garter. Superb views from the top. Gets very muddy....

Very good location for a walk or bike ride. Nice views from the top of Combe Hill and nice contact with nature.

I advise getting an OS leisure map and go on a long walk around the area. If you park near the actual gallows then you can walk for miles and still have the benefit of the wonderful views from 280m above sea level but without...More

The bridle-path/green road is very accessible and good for wlks with, or without, dogs. The views are amazing. Very breezy most days. Views over Berkshire, Wiltshire and Oxfordshire
