Amazing beach. We parked at the park and ride car park then simply walked down the steps to the beach. There is a cafe there which sells coffees and ice creams, buckets and spades. Our children had an amazing day on the beach here. Proper sandcastle making sand and the sea was not too far away for bucket refills. Quite a few dogs but all on leads with responsible owners. I think from May dogs are only allowed in certain areas too. There are clean toilets at the park and ride bus stop and you can jump on the bus or land train to get you to the harbour area if you don’t fancy the half an hour or so stroll. We just stayed on the beach though. I would definitely recommend this beach for young children.

So went to fair yesterday with my daughter , did hook a duck. The lad on counter was very rude and unprofessional. He had no customer service and was rude when I question him about hook a duck.
He need to learn to customer service and get trained in good customer service skills.
Every hook a duck had same colour underneath, said why have large teddy’s if u don’t win them. He said they for sale.
What’s point in that. The aim off the game is to
Win a teddy and not buy a teddy.
Safe to say we won’t be playing hook a duck again.
Learn on your customer service skills lad !!

The beach is lovely during the summer, and just as lovely during the winter. A long stretch of sand, albeit covered in seaweed on a Sunday morning. We had parked near to the spa, and walked the promenade and then onto the beach back to the spa to enjoy a hot drink. Plenty of couples and families out walking, enjoying the fresh air. Lovely way to blow away the cobwebs!

This is such a long sandy beach and when the tide is out, it seems enormous. I didn't see many seashells but did see pretty pebbles. Here you can access the park and ride into town which is really useful

I like to sit on 'Princess Walk' and watch everyone [and their dogs] go by. Quite a few 'families' were on the beach having a good time. 'Ritchies' nearby provides food and refreshment at reasonable prices.

I really don't think so. Beach BBQs are not the norm in the UK. Check with the local council.

Can I bring my dog on the beach

Not sure - I think there were restrictions on parts of the beach between Easter and September. The beach stretches a long way down and you may be able to take the dogs on further down.

Is there parking near the beach?
chestervoyager
Chester, UK471 contributions
Yes. Anything close to the beach will be pay & display only. Many of the residential streets have permit parking (check if residents only) but may only offer short stay. Otherwise, there are residential streets not too far from the town centre/beach which are free and unlimited. The earlier or later in the day you can arrive, the more likely you are to find a preferred spot. The town can get busy with cars and pedestrians so watch how you go and have a safe trip.
