A walk on the south, not wild, side
First time here, ever. After travelling the narrow road to the car park in the cliff top, we were not disappointed with the beach. Lovely sandy beach all the way up to Bridlington, which did walk to and back. Lots of people on the beach including walkers, dog walkers, horses, and of course fishermen! Well worth the visit and parking costs.

Not sure what people’s beef is with parking?!
Don’t let the ‘parking’ reviews put you off as there were LOTS of pay and display meters with no queues on a very busy sunny day. The app may be tricker to sort out if you have to download it there as signal not great. Beach was clean, big, busy and very windy but still a beautiful place. The road to get there can be a little frustrating waiting for cars to pass or let you pass. Did not use the facilities but looked modern and popular.

    Happy dog 🐶
We stopped here for a break and to let our dog have a good run on the beach. You can pay for parking either on the app, contactless or by cash. Yes there is a narrow lane to drive down, but there are plenty of passing places. Toilets are clean, if poorly lit. We didn’t use the takeaway cafe so can’t comment. Great beach though and most importantly dog friendly all year round.

    Disappointed
My daily walking is usually at the beach so after travelling from Scotland to Bridlington I thought I would take dog to this beach. At top of the road beach signs are very visible but drive down this long one lane windy road I was following the car in front. We kind of got lost then saw a tiny sign in opposite side for beach. Then as we got to beach . Yes pay to park. No signs to inform you about this well I only had paper money. No phone on me . OMFG. Plus the stone road you go round to park or in my case leave was off road conditioned. Just give people signs so 🤷 we can all not waste our valuable time. There's a big restaurant on beach .not signed either. Couldn't write this.

    A great holiday day out
Great beach, lots of sand and space to spread out. Water was safe for our kids as so shallow, I even went in for a dip. Access to beach was tricky for older members of our party but once on beach you could see easy exit routes better. Paying for parking was not a problem, pay for the day and then no issues on fines. Machine, phone or online options available and can even pay later when you get home. A man was even there to help if you needed. Toilets clean and functional. We did not use cafe so can't comment.

    Great beach for all
A beautiful beach with lovely seating areas to enjoy your picnic. You can also get a tea or coffee and sandwich from a little cafe on the side. Toilets available and great beach to walk your dogs and also watch the surfers

    Beach days
From the main road, you drive down a single road with passing places to reach the large car park. Payment is made by either machine, or online. They have number plate recognition cameras on entry and exit, so make sure you pay for the time you need. It was a busy Bank Holiday when we visited, but getting there early paid off. The beach is only a short walk away, and once on the sands, it is an amazing expanse of space for my dog to run about. Due to dogs being allowed all year round, you can just walk along the sands for a long time in either direction. Interesting structures from WW2 can be seen. The only place for a drink etc is the cafe near the car park. Same for the toilets. However, we took a pack up with us and were on the beach all day. Fab place.

    Lovely clean dog friendly beach
Car park good price. The beach is clean. Dogs well behaved. The cafe just off the beach was only open for takeaways and had a massive queue. Food was lovely but queue excessive. Toilets are okay.

    Fraisethorpe - Beautiful Beach
I was introduced to Fraisethorpe about 4 years ago and have gone every year since. The reason why? The unspoilt beach, ideal for families and dog walkers. The beach spans about 1.5 miles and is clean, kept tidy. There is a car park which charges reasonably, and the Cow Shed which provides food and drink and also toilet facilities. I remember spending about 5 hours on the beach with a picnic, and strolling along; fortunately we had good weather. I can wholly recommend a day out.

Great beach, mind the pot holes in the car park !!
Great beach for dog walking and kids to run round . Been many times before. Downside the car park roads have alot of pot holes, which need sorting out, especially when it's a paid car park

The beach is amazing, however its not worth the £100 parking fine for a glitchy system that does not work correctly!! Paid the parking entered the registration correctly (however did not register on their system) even had evidence of payment. But not good enough, so a fine it is even after appeal!! As this is the only carpark you have no choice to use it, you will be SCAMMED!! Absolutely disgusting taking advantage of families on holiday!! Will NEVER visit again!!! £100 out of pocket during a cost of living crisis, thanks!!

From Fraisthorpe to Bridlington is a beautiful flat beach walk ideal for all ages. About 4 miles there & back. Just a shame some dog owners are worse trained than their dogs. I’ve seen owners watch their dogs poo on the beach & not remove it. Wonder if they’ve ever had children?
