Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Me and my fiancée have visited Woldgate several times since the summer. The treks have varied from a trot in the fog to a four hour epic around the local area to a gallop across fields.
Each has been lovely, the staff are knowledgeable and interesting and the horses are excellently behaved.
The local area has some amazing views, out towards the Humber, the old towns that have not changed in centuries and some lovely fields for cantering along.
The highlight for me was riding Bob to a local weir where he had such delight in stomping the water, it was wonderful to feel like you are working with the horses as a team, getting to know them and the lovely staff has been a pleasure! We cant wait to go back next year.

Myself and my daughter decided to spend some quality time together and go pony trekking. The holiday house we stayed at recommended we go to the Woldgate riding centre, this turned out to be brilliant. I had not been on a horse for years and my daughter had some lessons but would not say she was anymore than a beginner. Cannot thank the two ladies enough for there relaxed manor and super experience with horses. They made sure we had the right horses and were there to help get our confidence back. After our first hour we went back for a second trek, it was even better.
Cannot give this place enough recommendations it was fantastic.

The people who care for the horses are very nice to them and people where very nice to the nervous people who might have been a bit scared

They look after horses very nicely and show care towards nervous people or sick, injured horses.

If I had to give a rating I would rate it 5 stars

Fabulous visit, I treated my partner to a trekking experience for her 50th. Hugely professional from start to finish. Very interested in the review that said "children led by children." I only witnessed properly insured adults. I think the trekking centre need to consider libel laws and taking action via the small claims court. I don't believe for a second that this top class centre relied on children. People should be careful what they say

Becky and her staff were so kind and encouraging. The ponies and horses were fantastic. Went for 1 hour trek yesterday and was back again this morning for another hour. If I had my way would be back again tomorrow but have my husband to think of. Was amazed at the views and amount of land where one could ride. If I get chance to return to Bridlington I know where I will be going first. Highly recommend for young or old. Believe me I'm old.

Stayed at Primrose valley holiday park and the children were enthusiastic to go horse riding so we found this online! It was a First visit (trek) with family and friends consisting of a large group of 6, with ages ranging between 8-18. They Cater for beginners and all ages, perfectly. Children LOVED it insisting on horse riding lessons when we get home! Huge thank you to all the lovely, friendly and accommodating staff members and for a lovely hour trek that the kids couldn't stop talking about- they Particularly loved the trot at the end of the trek and were so excited after. Would definitely recommend a visit!

Went for 1 hour trek round the woods with great scenic backdrop, my youngest is 2&1/2 and rode a Shetland pony so I walked alongside my 5 year old rode a bigger pony and my husband rode as well the girls loved it even though my youngest gave up towards the end...more because she didn't like the helmet rather than the horse...even though I didn't ride it was still thoroughly enjoyable...we will be back!
