This temple is about 600 year old in now this is in river Alaknanda, earlier it was in front of river. The place is very cool and peaceful, the pandits are quite good they will not ask for money for any ritual if u perform but u are welcome there.beware of monkeys they snatch the prasad. From road it is almost 300 meter.and u can park ur vehicle easily.theain pandit ji is very good tell u everything about the temple.
The most important thing is that the goddess Dhari Devi changes its face three times a day.amazing place.must include in ur tour.its better if u ho to Rudraprayag and while coming back to khirsu u can have darshan.its about 15 km from khirsu and almost same from khirsu.jai mata di

Do visit this ancient temple of Dhari Devi which is supposed to be the protector of all the 4dhams in the Chardham circuit. The temple is located in the midst of the river Ganga & it's connection to the 2013 disaster makes it a highly recommended visit to every Chardham yatri.

Dhari Devi or Kali Maa Temple is on the way from Rudraprayag to Devaprayag on the Alaknanda river. There is a recorded history of this temple in Wikipedia, which adequately indicates the Power of the Goddess. So, I am not repeating the Story here.
Our Driver had showed this temple on our way to Rudraprayag and on our return, we visited the temple. This is a temple which requires good amount of climbing down to the Alaknanda River at the ground level (approx about 150 to 200 metres down) and also one should have good stamina to climb up. The climbing area is a flat surface on an elevated mode and not made by way of Steps, which makes it easier to get down and come up to the main Road, where the vehicles are parked. The temple structure is built well and it is a nice experience to go on top of the Alaknanda river thru a Bridge or Joola to the Temple. The temple itself is a small one with the Goddess inside. It is supposedly a powerful goddess and supposed to protect Char Dham. Jai Mata Di.

I prayed at Dhari Devi mandir standing in Alaknanda River in Kalyasaur village of Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand , on 10th March , 2020 . The temple houses the upper half of an idol of the goddess Dhari Devi . The idol's lower half is located in Kalimath where she is worshipped in Kali avatar . According to the priest , the appearance of goddess changes with time , from a girl to a woman and then to an old lady .
As per Srimad Devi Bhagwat , this shrine is one of 108 shakti pithas in India . Goddess Dhari Devi is the protector divinity of Uttarakhand . It is believed that Lord Shiva performed the tandav at this place . Dhari Devi is considered as the guardian and the protector of the Char Dhams in Uttarakhand .
As per a legend , it is believed that in the ancient time , the idol of Dhari Devi was washed off by floods and it banged against a rock . The villagers from nearby Dharo village heard the weeping of the idol . A divine voice then ordered the villagers to install the idol at the place where it was found and should be kept under the open sky . Thus the mandir was known as Dhari Devi mandir . Dhari Devi was aggressive looking .
A bridge on the Alaknanda River joins Dhari village with Dhari Devi temple .

Dhari Devi Mata Temple is currently moved to a platform in the mid of Water. It is believed that Dhari Devi is protecting the entire Kedar Ghati. The Idol of Dhari Devi is very nice and very live. It is also believed that while going to Kedarnath and Badrinath, one should take blessings of Dhari Devi and pray her for safe Char Dham Yatra. Jay Mata Di.

This time I visit two temples in tehri, one of them was Dhari Devi Temple. This is in actual a temple of माँ काली 🙏। Temple is so beautiful from outside and inside too. It is standing on to the pillar that are based into tha middle of the river. Inside temple there are pandits to do puja behalf of specific families. The way made to enter inside the temple is so beautiful. View is just ultimate - scenic beauty. 🗻
