Welcome to Big Green Adventures, Crantock, an award winning activity provider on the stunning, National Trust managed, Crantock Beach. We're here to help you make the most of this incredible, uncrowded beach, offering top quality lessons or rental in Surfing, Kayaking, Stand-Up-Paddleboarding, Bellyboarding & Bodyboarding as well as Beach Safety Courses to ensure you and your family stay safe. All abilities are welcome in our small groups (no more than 6 per group) and we provide top quality equipment for all activities included in the price. With so many activities, a range of different packages and incredible weekly clubs we really have got something for everyone. Our teenage sons really enjoyed their surfing lessons with Peter, despite tough weather conditions. Would highly recommend, thank you.

Fantastic tuition at a fun, friendly and welcoming surf school. I have been trying to surf for years and feel like I progress more in one hour of lessons than I do in 6 months of surfing on my own. Highly recommend.

Fantastic group guidance and coaching for the ladies surf club on Sunday - I’ve been out of the surf for a few years and really wanted to get back in but felt very anxious and lacked confidence. The Sunday club was my first attempt and it was perfect. A friendly group, relaxed and professional coaches, some nice waves and great value for money.

I booked a kayak tour and then a private paddle boarding session. Both were fantastic. Adam was my Kayak teacher, he was full of energy and fun and I learned a lot. Charlotte helped me learn how to paddle board, she was really calm and friendly and an excellent teacher. The Gannel is a beautiful setting and I lived both my sessions. Would definitely recommend Big Green Adventures 😊

So next on my "Chuff off cancer " list was Paddleboarding and as I was in Crantock where else would I go but Big Green adventures? Booking online was effortless & everything went smoothly even changing the date due to pesky storm Agnes wasn't a problem. Adam drew the short straw as my coach and after a super informative introduction and safety brief we started my first SUP adventure. Adam's teaching must have been good as I was soon up and paddling. The rest of the session was let's say eventful. But after testing Adam's first aid skills, breaking a paddle (won't say who that was ) and a quick rescue by Dale I can honestly say I wouldn't have wanted to be anywhere else and I had a great time and would highly recommend these guys for your next adventure! I think Adam might book a day off if I try surfing though. Thank you all for the best day! It was amazing xx

Thanks for the review - this is definitely gave us some giggles! We are stoked to hear that Adam's teaching and first aid skills are up to scratch - although his ability to break paddles paddle has now been revealed to the world - we hope he read the T&C's about breaking surf school items!
Dale is also an excellent rescuer - thanks for letting him practice with you and for being an excellent rescuee! They are qualified beach lifeguards and take any opportunity to show off with their rescues and first aid...
We are looking forward to welcoming you back to Big Green and so happy to hear you had such an awesome time!

We had three brilliant days/lessons with Petr and Adam learning how to surf – we left the beach each day with big smiles on our faces and less sea water in our stomachs as we stood up more each day! Catching green waves and turning were credit to their teaching skills. Would certainly recommend the excellent and extremely friendly team (big shout out as well to Dale for the initial contact, information and booking us in).

We were lucky enough to have a SUP lesson on the 2nd September with the best conditions and great instructor! The 4 of us were the only 4 booked onto the lesson which made it extra special as a family! The tour was fantastic with calm conditions and sunshine at 7am! Would definitely recommend to anyone and will definitely be booking on for our holiday next year!

We contacted Big Green on Messenger and they replied immediately with all the info we required. Booked 4 paddleboards and had a marvellous time out on the gannel-the best place to learn paddle boarding in Newquay. Brilliant and easy access to beach-thank you

Our daughter did the Beach Squad week and what an amazing experience it was for her. She loved the body boarding, surfing and the SUP. Thank you to all of the amazing instructors, the week was finished off with Petr taking the whole Beach Squad gang out on the monster SUP and having a slip and slide to end the activities. We will be back next year, and our son wants to take part next time :) thank you Big Green team!!

My family and I went to a 2 hour session with Adam as our instructor and in this time we all managed to learn how to surf and we’re now able to surf with no help. Would definitely recommend.

Hi me and my family would love a sup lesson when we visit in April 15 for a week. What availability have you got 2 adults kids 11,12,10,14. Also the price thanks in advance sarah

Hi Sarah,
We'll be opening up again for the 2019 season on 1st April. At present we've got availability every day during the week you're down. If you want to ping us a message either on our Facebook page or to our email address (which TripAdvisor won't let me type here for some reason!) then we can work out the best timings for you around the tide and get it all booked in for you.
