Two day guiding tour with Paul visiting different habitats and seeing some amazing birds. Bird list was 80+. Tour was very relaxed and met all of our needs. Although there was four of us he found time for the individual. Paul also had a great knowledge of the area which made the tour even more interesting.

We had a fantastic day with Paul in early September. The organization was excellent and lovely comfy transport. We saw such a great variety of birds and Paul was a fantastic spotter and extremely knowledgeable. Spotting the Peregrine Falcon with the moor hen was amazing to see! Thank you for being so good with our son who has autism but absolutely loved chatting to you about the birds and hasn't stopped talking about the afternoon we had with you. Will defiantly be back for more.

Paul took us to Nanjulian near Land's End. We hoped in particular to see the rare Chough. Paul said he would do his best but, this being nature, nothing is guaranteed. He told us that when birdwatching your ears are as important as your eyes and as we walked he identified birds through their song. Very quickly we were doing the same. Did you know, for example, that the beautiful Stone Chat is so called as its song sounds like 2 stones being tapped together, some things have simpler explanations that you might expect! Paul is also an excellent bird song mimic, to the extent (he claims) that his (avian) mating calls have the desired aphrodisiac effect and birds come eagerly to his bidding! We spent a hugely educational and enchanting couple of hours at Nanjulian, a place of magical beauty and richly diverse birdlife, where we saw many species: Linnet, Dunnock, Stone Chat, Sparrowhawk, Chiffchaff, Tits Great and otherwise, Kestrel, Gannet, and many more including and breathtakingly, a pair of Choughs which we watched for some 20 minutes. We then went to the Hayle estuary where the species count continued with Widgeon, Shellduck, Mallard, Redshank, Curlew, multiple Gull varieties including Mediterranean, Oyster Catchers and many many more. In total we saw approaching 50 species and the world became a more alive and enchanting place. A truly magical morning with an amazingly knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide whose passion for his subject is impossible to resist. Highly recommended and in particular for those who need to step into tranquility for a moment.....We will be back for more.....
