My grandchildren had a lovely time at Paradise Park - and so did we! It pleases a wide age range, and the return tickets at reduced prices are a win-win.

Cannot recommend this highly enough. An excellent day out for all the family. The highlight of the day are the free flying macaws: released in the morning they fly freely around the park and local area, perching in the tops of trees or wherever they will, returning to their aviary mid afternoon. We were able to feed the lorikeets (watch out for the other end of the bird!), the sheep and goats, as well as watch various talks throughout the day. The food offering in the cafe was very varied and of good quality.
The park is involved with a number of breeding and reintroduction initiatives and is well deserving of support. An excellent day out.

The park is well laid out and quite extensive, with a good variety of bird types, many of which are very colourful - a real plus for young children. Their philosophy is also very good and they are helping some of the endangered species.

We visited here, during the Easter Holidays, either two children aged 12 and two children aged 8. There was an Easter Hunt activity and a Dinosaur Hunt... lots to do to entertain all of the children.
We managed to go to a few of the timing slots for, penguin talks and feeds, the red pandas and the otters. We fed the goats and really enjoyed meeting the new lambs. We had a lovely picnic (which we brought with us). There are lots of places to sit and eat. The children enjoyed playing in the outdoor playground before visiting the indoor soft play to end our day.
Overall, we had a lovely day and we were all throughly entertained.

Lots of stuff to do. Informative talks, quizzes, feeding time and play areas. Soft play was reasonably good. Animals looked clean and well cared for. Staff generally friendly. They looked a bit fed up in the play area.
Cafe service was slow and food limited. Needed more information about what was happening in the park, eg train times etc. Excellent gift shop.
In summary, we spent a delightful day at the park, some 5 hours. I was initially really upset with the price, but considering the length of time we spent there and the upkeep of the animals and beautiful gardens, I’ve reconsidered the price as expensive but not outrageous!

Hello,
Thank you so much for your review and feedback and glad you enjoyed your visit.
We really do try to keep prices down as much as possible, but we have to be able to cover feeding over 1,200 birds and animals, pay the Keepers and staff and of course other unavoidable expense like electricity etc. When we can we do add a discount code on the website just above the 'Click Here' button so that visitors can use that if the wish to save a little money.
Thank you for your other feedback which has been passed on to one of the management team.
Your support is really appreciated. Your visit helps us continue to run the Park and support many vital conservation projects here in the UK and around the world.
All the best :-)

I have to say this place was amazing and we really didn’t expect it, it was educational for us and the kids! The jungle barn was probably the best kids play area I’ve been to and enjoyed.

Children were upset by some of the birds not having much room to fly around, especially the eagle, we sadly watched him desperately trying to escape from his enclosure, it was upsetting.
We did love the petting animals and the indoor play. The smaller birds in groups with more space looked nice.

Hello Jen,
Thank you for your feedback on your visit. We are not sure why you saw that behaviour from an eagle as it’s not usual, perhaps it was alarmed by something or was excited because it saw one of its Keepers walking by. If you can tell us which eagle it was then please do email us.
Most of the eagles would be flying free regularly in our displays now but these are delayed due to current bird flu restrictions. As soon as we can they will be out and free flying again.
There are a variety of reasons why some birds may be in smaller enclosures. Sometimes it may be just temporary, related to health or other care issues. Certain species are happier during breeding seasons if they are in individual aviaries so they are not sharing a space, and a smaller area may give a feeling of security - our breeding successes have shown this to work well. We move many of the birds around during the year according to their needs. And of course, some, like our Bald Eagles take part in the free flying shows (eagles, owls, hawks, kookaburras, choughs, cockatoos, macaws and many more).
I can assure you that the welfare and care of all our animals and birds is our upmost priority.
I hope this helps alleviate your concerns. And would just like to say thank you for visiting, it helps us continue with our ongoing conservation work with many species here and around the world.
All the best :-)

We enjoyed our trip to the park. Love the red pandas, went to a good talk about the otters and loved hearing all about them. Really enjoyed seeing the golden eagle, was amazing. We did the little train ride, it’s short but cheap and our little girl enjoyed it. The playpark was good, we didn’t try the soft play area. A good variety of birds and it was great that a cockatoo was out that our girl could say hi to, she really enjoyed that. We also loved hearing how old some of the animals area which is a real testament to their care.
Only shame for us was that the cafe closed earlier than we realised, we had planned to have afternoon tea in there but didn’t check when it shut so when we went to go there it was closed.

An ok experience 😊
Respectfully nothing extraordinary.
Visited with my three children aged 19, 8 and 3 years old.
Ample parking available.
Easy to find from Rivière Sands holiday site.
Some lovely birds to see with information regarding them, which is very handy to know.
Our favourite animal in the park was the Red Panda.
We visited the play barn soft play area which was a hit with my two younger children.
Overall I do think it’s over priced for what you actually get - especially with a lot of the area restricted - for whatever reason. (£57.50 for a saver ticket; 2 adults, 2 children)
I wouldn’t revisit as like I said, it wasn’t an extraordinary experience in my opinion. However, I am glad I experienced this park either way.

Hello,
Thank you so much for visiting and your review, we really appreciate your support and feedback.
There are just two very small elements that are closed at the moment due to the Government bird flu restrictions. One is our very small Tropical House, and the other is a very small walkway in an avairy, but you can still see all the birds within that enclosure. 95% of the Park is open as normal. Just to stress we do not have bird flu at the Park but we must follow the Government restrictions until they are lifted. Hopefully soon.
Sorry you found it expensive, we really do try to keep prices down as much as possible, but sadly with costs they way they are we have to be able to cover feeding over 1,200 birds and animals, pay the Keepers and staff and of course other unavoidable expense like electricity etc. When we can we do add a discount code on the website just above the 'Book Now' button so that visitors can use that if the wish to save a little money.

Hello, is your website working? It appears to be unable to load today (23 October 2020) and I’d like to see if I need to prebook tickets before visiting (I don’t want to turn-up with the children and find we cannot visit).
Thank you.

Hello, I've checked the website and booking system and it is all working. The Park is doing pre-bookings but if you still have problems getting what you need online you can call the shop direct from 10am in the morning to see if there are spaces. Hope that helps.

Is it ok in rain? Is there inside or out?
ParadiseParkCornwall
Hayle
Hello Steve, If possible choose a day without heavy rain or wind so that you can enjoy seeing all the animals, feeding times and events as well as play in the JungleBarn. If the weather is not too good there are Return Tickets (currently £3.99 per person for one more visit in the same season) so if a flying display is cancelled you can come back another day.

Is there enough to do for 10/11year olds? Is the play barn for younger kids? Thank you.

It is ideal for that age group and the play barn is more than suitable also for the age-the play barn does have some area for younger children but it is better geared for older children to adults!!!

Yes, a great little cafe by the otters enclosure that hits the spot. Stamp your hand to go back in when you’ve built up your energy levels again!

Hello Stephanie, We have the Otter Pool Cafe with a wide range of light lunches (pasties, baked potatoes, paninis, sandwiches and also cakes and cream teas), plus a snack bar in the JungleBarn. You can also bring your own picnic or get a hand stamp and go over to the Bird in Hand pub for a meal.
Best wishes, Alison

Hello Michelle, there are buses from The Towans where Haven's Riviere Sands, is to Foundry Square. I looked it up on the First Group bus website:
Hayle Towans (Nw Bound), The Towans
Number A4 towards St Ives
to
Foundry Square (Sw Bound), Hayle (9 mins).
Paradise Park is 10 mins walk from Foundry Square, Hayle.
Hope to see you in August!

Hi if I wanted to bring my daughter just to the jungle barn and not to see the animals would it still cost me the admission price to go around the whole Park?
ParadiseParkCornwall
Hayle
Hello, there is one entrance price for the whole of Paradise Park - the bird garden including the JungleBarn play area.
This continues until the 30th October 2017 when winter hours start (the clocks change and it is too dark to go around the gardens) so then there is JungleBarn only entry from 3pm-6pm.
Why was I insulted by Sue in the cafe last week when I asked to pay for my drinks?

Hello Chris, please would you let me know what happened by emailing me. The TripAdvisor guidelines mean that I can't post my email address here but you can find it on our website. Thanks, Alison
