A regular visit here is a must. If your in holiday you must pay a visit and try the locally brewed ales. My recommendation "Flora days". Live music nearly every week. Quiz night Mondays. Jam night sometimes too! Relaxing, not clicky with great ales to enjoy in many nooks and crannies of this traditional proper old tavern!

We always make time to come here to drink the Spingo - as our father and grandfather did before us! A real old-fashioned pub with the best ale in Cornwall

Hadn't been in a few years and spent weeks looking forward to it. Still something to behold. A rarity in the day and age of chain pubs etc and a welcome change to the normal. As always, fantastic Spingo and also, the amazing 7.4% special ! I hope this place never changes. If you are in Cornwall and you enjoy... More

A great pub with all the old world charm and good ale brewed on the premises. A must whenever in Helston and if your lucky an impromptu Cornish sing that can happen whenever. Top marks also to the barmaids who are welcoming and service is great.

I call in whenever in Helston. I buy a pasty or sandwich just up the road at Mother's and enjoy it with a drop of Spingo 'Middle'. This pub has more atmosphere than any I have ever been in. You must give it a try.

Very old hotel still with thatched roof. Has variety of beers which have been brewed on site for well a long time. If you are a beer lover Visit and do some sampling. Also visit the gun room and open fire if it is cold.

We enjoyed our visit to this brewery / pub. The music festival was enjoyable and the locals were hospitable. Worth a visit for their brew but not if you like draft Guinness.

Seems to me, when you visit somewhere new, you finish you visit with a pint, well, what a surprise this place was, a little bar, lots of little rooms either side of an ancient alleyway, the service was friendly and welcoming, drinks a little excessive prices wise, but the experience makes up for that, pay a visit, you'll love it...
