Need to check opening times more carefully than we did- the house is open 1 week in every 4. The garden is well tended and has some colourful borders. The overall impression is one of faded grandeur.

Delightful smaller house in a lovely setting and a charming alternative to some of the grander, stuffier NT properties.

We visited last week and enjoyed strolling round the gardens. They are mostly in their natural state with no real formal gardens which I missed but my husband enjoyed more. The walk to the pond terrace was disappointing as they are all empty and overgrown...More

Visited today to do the estate walk. Free parking for NT members and a very enjoyable 6 walk round the edge of the estate. Farmland, woods, river, country lanes and a finish at the top of Goldophin Hill. Something for everyone (including the dog!) and...More
