About
The Family Foraging Kitchen C.I.C. is a social enterprise providing wild food and heritage craft education across southeast Cornwall. We host a range of courses, teaching foraging classes, traditional countryside skills, and heritage crafts to groups both in the wild and at our education centre in Sheviock. Alongside these courses, we also run a number of community-focussed initiatives that each seek to reduce the severity of food poverty while simultaneously improving understanding of the local environment. We believe that by strengthening this connection between communities, their history, and the surrounding natural landscapes, we can tackle many of the issues facing our society today.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A great day learning skep building with Robbie. Very relaxed and easy going tutor, good humoured and like minded people.
Found out it's a bit more time consuming than thought, so don't expect to be going home with a completed skep. Though you will go away with all the skills to do it and a lovely basket.

I went on the introduction to bees day with Robbie. It was a fantastic detailed experience. Learning about the types of bees, how the hives work, how to construct parts of the hive, and hands on with the bees themselves. I had a great day, and would highley recommend the course.

I went on my own and the whole experience was fantastic. Vix is oozing with so much knowledge enthusiasm and encouragement. I would recommend this to anyone and it would make a fabulous gift. About to book on one of her other foraging courses.

Spent a great morning with Vix learning what you can and cannot eat in the hedgerows all around us. Her knowledge and enthusiasm shone through - so much so we came straight back from the session and started hunting around our garden for things to eat! (We had Dock leafs in with our omelettes for breakfast the next day)
It is so refreshing to find someone who loves what they do and her passion for spreading the foraging ethos is infectious.
The world needs more folk like Vix!

Spent a wonderful day with Vix learning about edible finds in hedgerows, her knowledge is encyclopaedic and her enthusiasm is so inspiring. We can’t wait to gather meals for free now that Vix has equipped us with her know how and recipes.

My partner and I did the beekeeping course last weekend, was an incredible experience. Robbie was an excellent instructor and gave us tonnes of information around beekeeping, it's history and lots of tips and techniques. Couldn't recommend more, for the price it was well worth it!

Interesting, fun and a lovely way to spend a beautiful Spring day. Robbie was an excellent tutor. Patient, good humoured and very knowledgeable. This is the third workshop I have taken part in at this special place. Definitely magic in the air!

This was a foraging morning on the seashore and nearby hedgerows. I have been eating seaweed gathered from the shores for decades, but had no idea how many easily available kinds of seaweed they are, and Vix gave us recipes and cooking times for their use, as we picked them. Fascinating. She also showed us many hedgerow plants and told us how we could use them. Then she took a portable cooker from her back and rustled up some amazing herb and seaweed dumplings with a herb pesto sauce. Delicious! Passing walkers were eyeing us with understandable envy. Thoroughly recommended.
