About
Polkerris Beach combines an idyllic sandy Cornish cove with first class watersports facilities. It's as good for a day trip as it is for a two-week holiday or intensive watersports course. From the smallest sandcastle-building toddler to the seasoned watersport enthusiast, there is something for everyone here. Picture this - a sheltered, sandy beach in a small village, self-catering accommodation just up the lane, no through traffic, a beach shop and café, equipment rental so you don't have to lug everything with you and personalised windsurfing and sailing courses at our award-winning, RYA Recognised Training Centre. Round that off with a beer in the Rashleigh Inn as the sun sets and you have the makings of the perfect Cornish beach scene - or dine in style at 'Sam's on the Beach' which has proved extremely popular since it opened in 2009.

- Patricia SBrighton, United Kingdom3 contributionsSmall but pretty! The beach is a short walk from the car park. It’s quite a small beach when the tide is in but nevertheless lovely. Lots of swimmers enjoying the small sheltered cove! Lovely pub and restaurant overlooking the beach.Visited April 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 24 April 2023

Beautiful bay but too busy for us. Limited space to sit when the tide is in. Probably one for us to visit out of season.Visited June 2023Travelled with familyWritten 1 June 2023
- kmBradford, United Kingdom11 contributionsNice and smallNice small little beach, nice shop there to get possible essentials, water activities. Although it’s small it is still a great place to spend the whole day even if busy. Previously when we’ve come here we have had to park far away but the walk down was nice but this time we parked close and it was great.Visited June 2023Travelled with familyWritten 4 June 2023

The beach itself is sandy and nicely sheltered, and there are plenty of facilities including public toilets, pubs and a nice beach shop. The only negative is the car park is a short walk up the hill from the beach and can get busy, so if it’s a sunny day then get there early!Visited August 2023Travelled with familyWritten 27 August 2023

This beach is reached after a short walk from the car park. It’s quite a small beach when the tide is up but there’s still enough space to allow dogs to get properly exercised.
It also looks as though it attracts swimmers and there’s a pub and a restaurant overlooking the beach

A quiet beach on October.
The nearest parking is a short walk, but note there’s minimal phone reception so you might need cash to pay for parking.
If the machine isn’t working which happened to myself and 2 other groups then ring and report the issue as during on the sign.

Parked in the carpark and took a short walk down to the cove. Quite a few people in the water body surfing. The tide was just going out but still enough room to walk along the edge and enjoy. Nice clean bay

We parked in the carpark and I had a short walk down a very quiet road but mum said I had to be on the lead just in case :(. When we got to the beach the tide was just going out but there was still enough space for me to chase balls and play with other pups. I even went exploring the lobster pots, but luckily for my nose they were empty. Nice clean beach and great fun
