    Fascinating tour of industrial past
The tour was excellent and we learnt so much about the Cornish mining industry. After years of visiting Cornwall to me the abandoned mines were part of the landscape. With this tour I now appreciate the scale of the mining operations and how Cornish mining was exported around the world. The film was informative and just the right length and the main engine room really impressive.

    Interesting Cornish Industrial archaeology
Park at the far end of Morrison's car park and walk through (having booked before!) for your tour of East Pool mine (1 hour). Our knowledgeable and lovely guide told us all about the tin industry in Cornwall and guided us around the remians of the industrial archaeology. This included the enormous steam powered pump for extracting water from the undersea mining passages and some remains of boilers. It was a wet day and most of the tour was inside. We learned a lot actually - and all credit to our guide for making it so interesting.

    Very interesting
Excellent tour provided by a guide, who was very knowledgeable, the tour was very interesting and was nice to see a wonderful building preserved with an important history and to see inside too. Also, seeing inside a chimney, something you wouldn't normally be able to see of this kind. Hi highly recommend a visit

    Enjoyable afternoon learning about mining.
I was a bit dubious about going to an obviously small National Trust property with no cafe, especially when you have to book a timed tour! However, it was a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon. Our tour guide was informative, interesting and engaging with some additional tales thrown in. You don’t actually get to go down into the mine as it’s flooded but the buildings above ground are interesting and I felt like I learned a lot about mining and history in an interesting way. The car parking arrangements are a bit strange (park in Morrison’s car park) but it’s all well signposted when you arrive! If someone opened a nice cafe nearby I think they’d do very well!

Great overview of Cornish mining history
Very interesting guide/tour giving a good history and explanation of the mining history of Cornwall, and this mine in particular. No working machinery, but seeing the actual machinery with explanations was just fine. Only 10 people in our group, and guide was very friendly and easy-going.

Great visit to historic mining site somewhat incongrously accessed from Morrison's car park. Fascinating industrial archaeology with guided tour explaining various functions of the metal mine which operated until early 1950s. Staff were absolutely excellent - helpful and supportive (I have mobility difficulties), explanations were very clear and helpful.
An interesting slice of our industrial history. Recommended for anyone interested in our industrial past or the history of Cornwall.

Signage to site not brilliant from A30 central Camborne, but it’s to rear of Morrisons on main road, towards Redruth, you will see chimney with initials EPAL. There is a mine building just before Morrisons to the south of the road. There are a few exhibits to look at in entrance hall, with an interesting photo of the area in the heyday of mining, whilst people assemble for the tour, which lasts about an hour. There is a dated video about mining, before you see some of the original parts of the mine, with the highlight being the beam engine building. There are plans to open the Miners Dry to the rear of the site at some point and repair woodwork by engine house to see the mine shaft. At the end of the tour the guide handed out leaflets to other mining attractions, but I strongly recommend the NT Levant mine as you see a running engine, handle the raw materials and see underground.

An interesting tour round the site. The engine house is impressive. Not very well signposted though. It’s at the rear of Morrisons car park.

We went on a tour of this site with Treve as our guide. Extremely interesting, amusing and informative. Some fascinating facts and it all brought home how hard the work must have been.
With regards to parking; if you head for the Morrisons superstore and go into their car park you will see National Trust signs for East Pool. Park up at the far end and walk through the gate in front of you towards the Mine buildings and chimney stack.
