    Expensive coffee
We visit the Pantry at Cornwall Gold every week for coffee between shopping at Aldi and then Tesco. This week we had our usual 2 flat whites at £3.30 a cup.Last week it was £2.90 a cup.I know prices have increased but this is exorbitant. We will nor be returning. Sad as we shall miss our weekly laugh and a joke with the lovely Sharon
Thank you for your feedback on your recent visit to us. We do try to absorb costs wherever possible, however due to rising costs we have had to review our pricing in our Cornish Pantry. We truly hope to see you again soon.

    Sour customer service
We visited this venue twice. Today we came to buy more jewellery and have breakfast. The young man serving in the cafe was very helpful but the lady serving the coffee was mean spirited and obstructive. It really marred our experience.
Thank you for your feedback, we are sorry to hear you did not enjoy your visit on this occasion, We truly wish to see you again soon.

    Lovely day out!
We visit Cornwall Gold every year when we come on holiday so have seen it transform over the years. Visited today and loved the new edition of the museum upon entering! It was informative and nice to find out more about the mining history and process required to separate the metal from the ore! As always the jewellery was stunning and we had excellent service from the moment we started viewing the jewellery to trying and buying the Tolgus tin bracelets. Recommend to anyone looking for unique places to visit and as always it’s great no matter the weather!
Thankyou for your 5* review! We are extremely proud of our new Tolgus Exhibition which was launched earlier this year, set out over 10,000 sq ft, bringing Cornwall's rich milling history to life. We are so pleased to hear you found the experience both informative and enjoyable. We hope you enjoy wearing your Tolgus bracelet's and we very much look forward to welcoming you back again soon.

    Good but slow cafe service
Went at start of August . Attraction great . Cafe service very very slow . Hence the 3 stars . Question up for 30 mins to get served , ordered jacket potatoes and a soup , which took 20 minutes to arrive !!!! . Menus were near the till , which you could not see until you were upon them due to the que . At the start of the que we’re paper and pencils for child to use !!!!! . Consequently even before spending 30 minutes queuing, we had to wait for a table to become available, as families sat on them with their children just colouring ( do not blame them ) . When the food eventually came out it was very nice . Signage to say wait the wait was , would have been helpful, as the you could make an informed choice ad wether to eat there or not
Thank you for your honest feedback on your recent visit. We are pleased to hear you enjoyed your visit and your meal. We pride ourselves on offering the highest quality of food and all our orders are cooked fresh, unfortunately this can sometimes cause a wait time especially during the peak season We will be sure to feed your comments back to the team and look forward to welcoming you back again soon.

    Lots of missing activities
Unfortunately a lot of things that were advertised were not there, like the crazy golf. If it was, then it wasn't well signposted, but I have a feeling parts of it were being refurbished but it wasn't stated anywhere. It was also very expensive. We had an ok hour there and an expensive cuppa and cake but we couldn't have stayed any longer.
Thank you for your feedback. As a family run business of over 34 years we always strive to provide an enjoyable experience for our customers. We do hope you enjoyed the new Tolgus Exhibition, launched this year which is set out over 10,000 sq ft, bringing Cornwall’s rich Tin milling history to life in the new interactive exhibition area. We have a number of onsite activities available, Gold panning is free of charge and is open daily 10.00am- 3.30pm for all to enjoy along with Create and paint pottery and The Bear works. We look forward to welcoming you again soon.

    Lovely little find
We went for a visit today after a random find online, I have to say it was fab. The good in the cafe is delicious (lunch and cream tea was had!) We had a wander round the jewellery, build a bear, the pottery, the mill and the gold panning. It’s hard to believe that it’s free to get in so you could have a fairly cheap outing there. We all loved it and will definitely return again!
Thank you for your 5* review and your wonderful feedback! We are thrilled to hear you enjoyed your recent visit and look forward to welcoming you back again soon.

The grandchildren loved it there especially panning for gold
I booked a table for six of us and travelled down from stvdennis even though the A30 was closed all weekend and expected a roast dinner to be on as it says on their website and being mothers day it was disappointing the food we had was nice but we were expecting a roast had been before for a roast and it was lovely
The staff are all very nice and cheerful as well as helpful . I would go again but will ring before I book
We did get a free glass of prosecco to the mums so that was a nice touch

Thank you for your review, it is great to hear you enjoyed your visit and the children enjoyed panning for gold. We are sorry to hear you had expected a roast on the day of your visit, we stopped doing the roast dinners some time ago now, so are unsure where you have seen this advertised as there is no reference of roast dinners shown on our website. We will be sure to pass your kind comments onto the team and very much look forward to welcoming you all back again soon.

We went every year with our own Children. 25 to 30 years ago. Loved it there however, This time we visited with our Grandchildren. Oh my goodness it's not as good as it used to be ! Where was the Mask of Tutankhamun, weigh yourself in Gold and get a certificate? The fabulous gold Wall with water pouring down as you entered ! Panning for Gold was closed ! I know places have to change but this has gone downhill. I couldn't even see any real gold on sale it was all gold plated ? It really was a disappointment and we won't visit again but what an absolute shame!!! The children were bored ! Glad we have memories of when it was great !

Thank you for your feedback, we are disappointed to hear you did not enjoy your recent visit. The attractions you mentioned were removed many years ago to focus on our rich Cornish heritage. We are lucky enough to be custodian's of the Tolgus Tin Mill, an ongoing restoration to keep Cornwall Tin Milling history alive, for future generations to enjoy. This year we have launched our new exciting Tolgus exhibition set out over 10,000 sq ft in the new interactive exhibition area. The free Panning for gold activity normally runs daily 10.30-3.30, unfortunately we did have to close this activity for one day on the 2nd November for safety reasons due to the recent storm. Whilst we appreciate the changes may not be to everyone's taste, we do hope you will take the opportunity to visit us again soon.

It was quite disappointing to be honest they had said they had redone the whole thing and it was all new but really they had just moved things around from last year when we went and they had gotten rid of the pick a diamond which my kids enjoyed last year very disappointed

What on earth has happened to the lovely friendly atmospheric shop that I used to make a point of visiting every year to buy a momento? It is so gloomy and dark now, almost depressing at first sight. I miss the waterfall wall and the James Bond car certainly added an extra zing to the proceedings. The counters used to be spread about and the lighting was spot on. Yes it is a jewellery shop at the end of the day, but it has lost its sparkle (unintentional pun?). Also the mechandise has been somewhat modified to suit the higher spenders. Nowadays, if you have to ask the price you probably can't afford it. For the first time in over the thirty years that I have been visiting, I came away with nothing, only a lot of regrets at its change. And should this comment warrant a reply, no in advance to any hopes of us visiting again.
