RIB Sea Safaris and Power Boat Trips from Rock North Cornwall with Cornish...

RIB Sea Safaris and Power Boat Trips from Rock North Cornwall with Cornish Sea Tours. What better way to explore the awe inspiring coastal scenery and incredible wildlife of North Cornwall than by powerboat? Our boat SeaXplorer is a 9m RIB which seats 12 passengers and is based at Rock on the Camel Estuary just over the river from Padstow. We meet at our office on the Rock pontoon and then away to sea. We run boat trips to various locations from Rock out towards Newquay or Bude and regularly see wildlife such as Basking Sharks, Dolphins, Porpoises, Seals, Sun Fish and all sorts of sea birds including Puffins. We carry several pairs of binoculars on board so you can see them all up close.Your skippers are always qualified by the Maritime Coastguard Agency and have in depth knowledge about the local wildlife and geology. The tours run for 2 hours and cost £40 per adult and £30 per child under 14. Life jackets are provided. We do recommend bringing a warm layer, a waterproof jacket and trousers and this summer perhaps some sun cream. In particularly wet weather we can provide full waterproofs.

Matthew our skipper was very knowledgeable and passionate about the birds seals and dolphins he was telling us about, absoloutely thrilling ride and such beautiful scenery not seen from the land, we even went into a cave as the sea was so still, the 2 hour trip seemed to go so quickly as there was so much to see, we... Thanks for a great trip, we were so lucky as the sun was shining and Matthew was a great guide. The scenery was great and obviously the highlight was the dolphins which started with one or two and then so many it was hard to know which way to point the camera (having said that I seem to have captured... Not cheap but by criminy you get your money's worth. The ride itself is absolutely exhilarating (not all in our party are natural thrill seekers but this got everyone's vote), the guide/captain is knowledgeable, passionate and engaging, and we got to see loads and loads of dolphins. Even without the dolphins this would have been the best tourist boat I've... More

Went on a day when the swell was extreme, and was 'better than a rollercoaster' according to my son. Boat was fast, seats were like riding a bike or horse, you sit astride them and hold on to a bar in front (which you needed to do). Views were amazing, saw loads of dolphins, swimming alongside and under the boat.... More

Had an amazing trip with Cornish Sea Tours yesterday. Our ten year old son was extremely nervous but his nerves were soon forgotten once we were hitting extremely large waves at high speed. It certainly beat any roller coaster we have ever been on! Alternating between exhilarating high speed rides and informative talks on local spots and nature we had... More

The two hour trip from Rock is an exhilarating high speed Rigid Inflatable Boat trip. We saw a large pod of dolphins close up, islands, coastal rocks, coves and caves. The experience was greatly enhanced by the guides expertise and fund of stories. A camera and binoculars would be useful, but the boat does provide a pair of binoculars. You... More

My boyfriend and I went out from Rock on the 3rd Sept for my Birthday treat! It wasn't the best weather, bit drizzly and overcast but we soon forgot about that when we were surrounded by dolphins! It was great, Matt our guide knew all the signs to look out for and so ensured we tracked down the different pods... More

We have recently returned from our holiday in Cornwall where we had taken the powerboat trip from Rock. The sea was very calm and the weather lovely and sunny. Matt was very informative and used is knowledge to ensure we saw dolphins on our trip, which really made the trip very special. We needed to travel further than he had... More

We had a great RIB safari in Rock last friday, whilst we got pretty wet (it was sunny but v windy and choppy) it was great to see the stunning coastline from the sea and all the wildlife. The dolphins feeding was quite a spectacle. Very informative guide and great fun zipping around at speed appealing to teenagers and ten... More
