Welcome to the newly refurbished St Austell Brewery Visitor Centre and Hicks Bar. Our Visit England accredited Visitor Centre reveals the secrets behind our award-winning brewing process. Submerge yourself in more than 160 years of brewing excellence and discover the heritage of this proudly independent family brewery. Our Hicks Bar is open 9.00am to 5.30pm Monday to Saturday serving an all-day menu until 4pm. So, whether you are popping in for a coffee and a cake, a tasty pub meal or just a pint of your favourite beer, we will be happy to satisfy your appetite! And don't forget to pay a visit to the St Austell Brewery shop. With the full range of delicious St Austell bottled and canned beers (including some exclusive beers from our Small Batch Brewery) and branded gifts and clothing plus finest Walter Hicks wines, there's a drink or gift for every occasion. Dogs are welcome in all areas expect the Brewing Experience.

Pat, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and made the tour very interesting, and informative. We found out a lot of facts regarding the history of the brewery and its production processes.

Great spot for a relaxing lunch. Good food, good value, great quality and a lovely atmosphere. The Brewery tour is well worth a go, lots of history and a good look at friendly business.

Went here to escape the rain. The tour was very reasonable priced. The tour guide was very informative. Got to taste beer. Also got given tokens which you can exchange for bottles of beer. A few good hours well spent.

There is a nice restaurant inside and families were having lunch so I imagine it's fine for kids since they won't be offered any alcoholic beverages to drink. You can checkout their website for further information:

I believe there was a handicapped ramp out front that takes you inside to the store and to purchase tickets for the tour. Restrooms are down a narrow hallway so don't think adequate space for a wheelchair or scooter. I... More

Probably not as in my tour group 2 people had walking sticks and 1 of those sat out part of the tour.
