We were staying 2 miles away and had a morning off (without transport), so decided to walk to the gardens. Knowing that they recommend several days to see everything, we thought we'd maybe not pay for the admission but instead just go into the cafe for lunch, look round the shop, then walk back. But once we arrived, the glorious... More

Even in November the gardens have a lot to offer. Plenty of flowers still in bloom and the plants are varied and exotic. The rare breeds animals are great to watch and the hides are a bonus. After the garden there is the Jungle which is a good walk round with plenty to occupy both adults and kids.

What a lovely find. Didn't expect the gardens to be so extensive, but lots to see around every corner. You can get easily lost without a map and some areas are steep, but easy access routes are available.

Visited on a sunny day, which really added to an already wonderful setting of an amazing restored garden. Lots to walk around and see. Even pineapples being grown! Tropical feel to the deep valley. Visitor facilities excellent. A lovely farm shop adjacent. In many ways a more remarkable undertaking than the Eden Project. We had joint tickets so were able... More

At this time of year the woodland walks are more of a draw than the gardens themselves. It was expensive for what was there, maybe a concessionary rate for the winter months could be considered

I'd nagged my husband about going here for nearly a year. Even though it is a lovely place to visit, it is not worth the £13 each entrance fee. My husband said he could have gone for a walk in woods for free

What an enchanted visit! Even though I've watched the programs and read the books there was so much more there than I anticipated. So well laid out and with really good disabled access too. Easily spent the day there with well thought out facilities and plenty of interest. Lots of variety and something for everyone. Can't believe I actually crossed... More

I first read about Heligan when it was first discovered. The history and circumstances of it's decline piqued my interest so it' s been on my list of places to visit ever since and I was not disappointed. The house is now private but the gardens have been resored to their former glory and is now something you would usually... More

We visited the Lost Gardens of Heligan in October 2016 and it was a lovely way to spend a few hours bimbling around the country!

Visited Lost Gardens of Heligan in August; wow.... what a beautiful enchanting - colourful garden, lots to see and a great place for all, I went with the family, that included, young toddlers and 6 year olds, who had such a wonderful time. You don't have to be an avid gardener to enjoy these surroundings. We also had lunch here,... More
