About
The most fun you can have in a wetsuit! Coasteering is everything you always wanted to do at the seaside when you were a kid but were not allowed! Swim, scramble, climb and jump your way around the cliffs and rocky foreshore. Gain a unique perspective of this stunning stretch of Cornish coastline under the watchful eye of our experienced guides. Coasteering is awesome! We have two options for our coasteering: Firstly our Coasteering at Dinham Farm where we meet at Dinham Farm and take the minibus down on the high tide to one of our two spots depending on conditions. Secondly our Coasteering at Port Gaverne where you can park at our base at the top of the hill and get kitted up before heading out. Port Gaverne is more exposed to the conditions so participants should be prepared for some longer swims.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My 13yo daughter and I had a great time on the Port Quin run. Coll and Tom were massively professional, good fun and very knowledgeable. The last jump into the sea (20ft!?) was high enough for me. My daughter and I will be coming back next year for even bigger jumps. Thanks guys.

Booked a trip at short notice and Coll was great at communicating in advance. It was a family trip with a mix of fit 20 somethings and overweight 50 somethings. The wet suits were the best fit I have had (being the over weight 50 something). Coll and Tom were great at showing us what to do and kept an eye on us all. They pointed out various sights and gave us lots of info. Plenty of time for swim breaks. Gentle calm water in a lovely part of the country. Thanks Tom and Coll for some great memories

The overall experience was fantastic. It was really well organised and the instructors were extremely knowledgeable. We felt very safe under their guidance, even taking the bigger jumps.

The three of us got kitted up and went out to sea to jump off rocks. The sea was hugely choppy which made it harder but more fun. We jumped off high rocks into the sea and played a few games and did some challenges. The staff were funny and looked after the group well and made the day safe as well as fun. Would go again for sure as it was a different experience.

Thoroughly enjoyed the whole thing, great instructors, told us about many features and wildlife along the way and were good humoured and friendly. Our only reason for the 4 instead of 5 was the long walk to the Kayaks that involved a lot of walking on often sharp stones in the wetsuit shoes, which have no real protection underneath. Would definitely go again though. Great time. We are in our late 50’s and was the 1st time for my wife and we both loved every minute.

Great experience - fantastic time. Dates changed due to the weather conditions, the guys informed us of the changes in plenty of time and gave one to one support on the actual kayak 🛶 - making the experience special.

We went to Port Gaverne so this review relates to that location not Dinham.
Got kitted up and began the walk down to the bay with Henry and Ryan. Good intro and safety brief before beginning. Started off easy and some basic techniques and progressing to more challenging climbs and jumps. Loved the jumping, diving, cannon balling and penguin jumps. The true darkness was a great experience and the wave machine was crazy! So all in all, I loved the experience. That said, there were some bits that took the shine off. Firstly, the facilities at the meeting space were very basic. A simple trailer next to a farm. No seats/benches and therefore quite difficult to get 10-12 people changed into wetsuits. The walk from the trailer to the bay is fine going down but after 2+ hours of coasteering, it felt like an gruelling endurance race on the way back up, It’s blazing sunshine, you have all your kit on and it’s all uphill.
Also, no gloves were provided so cuts and scrapes on your hands occurred quite quickly. I have a few and they are still fairly sore 2 days later. A simple pair of neoprene gloves would have been useful (if these cannot be supplied, just add it to the ‘what to bring’ section.)
The big jump. I think this is what most people looked forward to. We did this but then Henry proceeded to go another 2-3 metres higher and jump off. Would have been good to be offered that jump?
Lastly, obviously we couldn’t take pictures but I had hoped the staff would have had a GoPro or similar so they could get some shots but this wasn’t the case? Maybe this is something that could be offered in the future as a few pics would have been a lovely momento (and they could add to revenue and be shared for advertising purposes too). Like I say, really enjoyed the experience but a bit more focus on the nuts and bolts around the trip (and some gloves) would have made this go from very good to absolutely amazing 🤩. Hope this helps others to be a bit more prepared.

Fantastic experience with Sam and Ryan. A beautiful Sunday evening coasteering in Port Gaverne, lucked out just being the four of us. Novice group (teens and oldies) we managed all the scrambling, swimming, caving and most of all jumping - surprising ourselves by all doing the biggest jumps…. Highly recommend!

We just came back from a kayaking morning, a very tired but very happy family! We had such a fabulous trip with Col and Lucy looking after us and our dubious boat skills all the way. We saw some brilliant wildlife and really enjoyed the chance to swim in the estuary. Lucy and Col were fab with our kids, can't thank them enough. It's been a great experience and we will certainly come to this company again if we return to the area. A must-do!
