Lot's of info on the history of the area. Would recommend this stop on your trip to Merrickville. We absolutely loved Merrickville.

Especially on Canal Day on the August long weekend. Live band, re-enactments, arts and crafts, food and fun. A great family day event. And a tour boat on site!

When we travelled, it was river fest and we were able to go in free of charge. Very quaint, lots of antique items to view.

Well worth stopping for. Local history and pictures and artifacts. Make time to stop here then go down the street and have some ice cream.

This is important Canadian history. The Block House is an authentic building used to defend Canada from the invading US on the waterways. There are surprising features.
