Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

One the best preserved remnants of a unique Rainforest, which is so sizzling with life invigorating vibrations as long as you make your way passed the Lighthouse. Generally the entire area is filled with beauty and is the western most edge of Australia.

My husband and I were able to spot a red tailed wallaby! Gorgeous. It's so important to keep our nature protected and this conservation park shows it.

Lovely hike with perfect views for all family. It's a bit challenging walk so preferably not to small kids.

Visiting Cape Byron never disappoints, regardless of the weather. The scenery is just magnificent! It is worth walking up from Wategos beach as parking up top can be difficult in peak season and at $8 a pop, not particularly cheap, although no doubt the money goes to a good cause! But the walk up (and back down again) is definitely worth doing. We've visited 14 times in 21 years and we always go up to the Lighthouse several times if not daily, not just for the exercise, but for the views. And in September we have seen whales breaching pretty well every time we went up there. That's the greatest show on Earth.

A good place to star would be to visit the Cape Byron visitor information centre and have a chat with the staff. The lady there will help you with all the sights, walks and other information all close.
The Cape Byron walking track to the Lighthouse, is particularly enjoyable through part rainforest with beach and cliff top views all along the way.
There is also a nice clean BBQ and picnic area at Palm Valley.

The lighthouse area is a very nice place to visit. Well maintained and organized. The walking tracks are very nice. We saw lots of dolphins during our walk. It is something for the whole family.

The way to the light house was along the beach which had some great views. Once you reached close to lighthouse there were a number of surfers and also water boat type of sports going on which was quite interesting. On the way back you could go around the back of residential streets giving you an insight into the styles of houses etc, all very interesting.

On a recent trip to Australia's Gold Coast, we spent the day at Byron Bay. I've heard so much about this place from my daughter , I was really looking forward to it !
My husband and I love being outdoors , walking and taking in the beauty of nature. This place is breathtaking, and you must visit . We walked up to the lighthouse to check out the views , and wow!!! Spectacular views from every angle , and we were lucky enough to see whales. This was a highlight of our trip for me and I recommend this to anyone. If you are able to walk up to the lighthouse , and lookout , it's a great walk. If you have issues with walking , the beauty can still be observed as you can drive up as well , so this is really for everyone .
We spent the day walking around the beach , shopping in the local shops , and eating lunch . There was live music on the beach to enjoy too. Plenty of pubs if that's what you're looking for ...

It is a beautifully maintained conservation area (although I was very sad to not see any goats clinging to the mountain on this trip - where have they all gone?). The parking to get into the conservation area is extremely difficult, always excessively busy and you have to pay. We walked up here on the light house trail (much better than trying to drive and park up here) and it is a magnificent place - unmissable on your trip to Byron Bay. Not good for the mobility challenged.
