A nice relaxed walk, bit of culture in the lighthouse and I great place to spot the amazing nature that the area offers

Best place to whale watch, there is also a café at the top, it is a long walk, with amazing views. There is car parking at the top but it is limited.

I just love it up there on the headland at Dawn. Whale watching is spectacular. We saw nearly a hundred whales heading North at our recent 5 day stay at The Assistant Lighthouse Keeper's Cottage. There was a big traffic jam up there on the weekend though...school holidays and tourists, so consider leaving the car in town and walking up.... More

We did the naturecwalk today and the outlooks are amazing. We saw dolphins and whales swimming in the waves and along the coast. Such a great experience.

The lighthouse trail and the surrounding parkland has been well kept with broad walks maintained to accommodate the human traffic. Coastal banksia trees and many local flora gives character to this parkland. I spotted some wildlife too!

Beautiful Byron beach views from the light house. The wind blew cold on the east side of the light house in the late afternoon.

Did the walk all along the beach, which was beatiful in itself, watched the sunset and saw the amazing lighthouse.. and then it POURED! We got stuck in a full-on thunderstorm... and had to walk back to Byron town centre soakes to the bone, hoping not to get hit by all the zig zag lightening (the ranger said to walk... More

Limited space for parking, so be prepared to wait if you come during peak hours (best time to visit is early in the morning or on weekdays). Bring some food along if you want to have a light meal with amazing views!
