There was so much area that one could surf along this beach. The main, and better, spots are busy with those trying to catch a wave. There is a nice look out over the main surf spot. If walking along, there is a long ways you can walk. You can access the lighthouse walk from this beach. We walked from... More

A highlight for many visitors with its unique laidback vibe of surf, hippies, hipsters, arts and crafts and vegans. You'll find both the have's and have nots with a fair bit of well to do folks in the large ocean front villas & $20 avocado smash for breakfast + kombucha and at the same time surfers/backpackers/travelers enjoying life more simply.... I recently spent two lovely days in Byron Bay. The weather was gorgeous for this time of year. Clear blue sunny skies and warm temperatures. Byron has a relaxed atmosphere and everyone is welcoming and friendly. There is something to do for everyone weather it's the beach, shopping, eating, sight seeing or chilling out. At night there is an abundance... More

We recently had a lovely visit to Byron with our baby and really enjoyed both the hotel and the place itself. One we will definitely return to - beautiful beaches, lovely people, great restaurants.

I just love Byron Bay. Its relaxed and free vibe and beautiful beaches. The lighthouse walk is also a must and the dolphin kayaking.

Byron Bay has everything you need for a family beach holiday plus great entertainment for the adults. The beaches are beautiful and patrolled. The fish and chips are tasty, the markets are great and fresh produce is readily available.

Byron Bay was what I thought Surfer's Paradise would be like - a small beach-side town. In any case - amazing beach, great small independent stores and a brilliant vibe. Definitely an awesome place.

I really liked the place, but my husband didn't. I loved the long beach when you got away from the city center, which was chaos. Lots of traffic and smelly surfer-dudes everywhere. I have never seen so many chabby chic babes or barefoot long-haired guys in my life. All stereotypes fitted, including, sadly, the unwashed smell. Sorry! I loved all... More
