Get up close to the most deadly of Australian inhabitants, roam the grounds and meet team members and their friends (snakes/lizards), take a packed lunch/picnic and enjoy, we arrived shortly after opening, had morning tea and lunch leaving mid afternoon, 2 kids 5 and under, highly recommended for families as a day trip.

Such a great day here - starts right at the entrance where you get to meet snakes. The place is well laid out and marked. The galapagos turtle walk, tassie devils, big croc feeding all amazing. The staff are very approachable if you want more information. We found the shows very entertaining and informative. They throw in comments aimed at... More

Stay away from the crowds, particularly the ones with kids, and you will have a great visit. Lots of interesting reptiles and other animals - don't miss the platypus exhibition. We got there early (9am) but it was still busy (school holidays). If you stay long enough you should get a chance to stroke a snake and a lizard (at... More

We went with our toddler and grandparents. Generally the park is well set out, it's kept very clean. We all really enjoyed the day. The presenter for the animal shows was excellent with wonderful wit. Also there's a great childrens playground on-site too. My only negative would be that the park was larger and the show areas larger to allow... More

A wonderful family day out - something to satisfy everyone. The enthusiasm for wildlife that the staff exude is contagious. Very interactive exhibits and talks at the various enclosures. Lovely relaxed ambience and the animals are obviously well loved and cared for. I sometimes go just for a picnic on the lawn with the wallabies, take your esky if you... More

We attended the ARP with a 5yo & 2.5yo on a very warm summers day. Luckily we arrived early and beat the crowds who arrived late morning/lunch time. Arriving early allowed us to freely move about the park at the pace and interest of the kids! There's also a great play ground which allowed us to break the visit up... More

A fantastic day out with the family. Although the park itself is not very big, the staff have alot of heart and there is plenty to browse and see during the day. The talks and shows were the highlight and we learnt alot from them. Lovely place to bring your lunch for a picnic. The food from the canteen is... More
