This is a great place to take your family for a taste of Western Pennsylvania's history. They schedule tours of the park, have annual Battle of Bushy Run re-enactments, and have a museum of artifacts and items that pertain to the battle.

The grounds are beautiful to walk around. Naturally you are seeing real fighting, but they do have the reenactment once a year. The museum is very nice also.

The annual reenactment during the first weekend in August is tremendous. A definite must do for locals and worth a drive for the not so local. Soldiers and Indians make for a very lively event.

About an hour an a half will give you plenty of time to take a golf cart tour of the battlefield and to see the exhibits in the Visitor Center.
