Lovely fresh water lake ideal for families and kayaking. Alcohol and dog free zone around this lake. Lots of small parks surrounding it make it ideal to sit with a picnic.

Great spot for a swim or dip without getting pounded by waves. The therapeutic benefits of the tea tree oil is also great for hair and skin.

Don’t be put off by the colour of the water, it’s full of tea tree tannins which is great for your skin. Nice and warm the water really feels therapeutic and you will feel great afterwards.

The lake was named after James Ainsworth (1843-1924), he was a farmer, and one of the very first settlers to the area.
