Do you know the difference between a yeee-roh and a gyro? Do you know the history of Arsenal Hill? Have you had the best sausage sandwich in Pitt? Know where to get great cupcakes in Lola? Seriously, this tour will feed your mind and your craving for a taste of Pitt.

My wife and I are new to Pittsburgh. We took this tour on a cold rainy/snowy day. We enjoyed the personal touch and netting the different cultures in our new city. We would recommend this tour without reservation. Jack and Libby

We have been doing Bits and Bites Food Tours in Pittsburgh for three years now. Several we have done twice in order to take out-of-towners to experience what we enjoyed so much. Lawrenceville was a great new part of town for us and our tour guide was great. She told us a lot about the development of the area. All... More

I loved the tour! Richard, our tour guide was incredibly friendly and knowledgable. I came home with so many new bits of information I never knew about Bloomfield. The food was delicious and interesting to learn about. I loved how the tour supported older shops and newer restaurants as well. I thought the little stop to the Peanut Butter and... More

The meeting spot for the tour was easy to find, with parking in a lot across the street. The small group size (10), made for easy interaction with others. Richard was very knowledgable about the history and architecture of the area. He was friendly and entertaining. We had about 8 tastings on the tour----don't eat lunch before you go----the portions... We went with another couple and had a great time. Cheryl was a very knowledgable tour guide and kept us all on track. I've lived in Pittsburgh my whole life and still learned so many new things about Lawrenceville. This would also be a great tour for out of towners - you don't have to be from Pittsburgh to enjoy... I was visiting "HOME" from the Orlando area at took this tour with a friend. The tour was of the Strip District. It begins at a charming little church and then you proceed to eat your way around the strip. What I loved most about the tour is that our guide Michelle made it feel natural and warm...not scripted. We... More
