This is a great stop over in Pittsburgh. Their Orchid display was beautiful and I couldn't believe how many different rooms we're on my self guided tour. The price is a bit high for an adult but overall I really enjoyed myself.

I've been visiting Phipps several times a year since I was a child. It's a great family activity. The Victorian style glass-domed building is a unique piece of history. Displays and plants are changed four times a year to reflect the seasons. The recent Winter show was delightful as always, showcasing huge decorated Christmas trees, lights, and beautiful varieties of... More

After many visits, we've been impressed by the unique setup as well as beautiful sights of the conservatory. It satisfies all ages (our children, us and our parents), and surprises the visitors with new events. The flowers and nature make a beautiful set up for quality photos to brag about. It will leave you happy and wanting to come back.

There are so many things to do at Phipps. Whether you like butterflies, tropical plants or bonsai trees, the folks who maintain this facility & coordinate events invest the effort necessary to make every visit enjoyable. And the cafe is reasonably priced, offering delicious options for even the most health conscious visitors. Go, turn off your phone, and enjoy! Allow... More

My daughter and I spent almost three hours in Phipps during the Holidays in December, and could have stayed longer, as there's so much to see. Absolutely beautiful.

I had read about the Phipps Conservatory and was able to visit while they still had their Christmas lights and decorations. It was about 7 degrees outside, but inside it was warm and toasty. There are absolutely wonderful flowers and plants with quite a diversity (grasslands, tropical rainforest etc). There was one room dedicated to a train exhibit with notable... More

Beautiful holiday lights. All aspects of the display were great, the outdoor winter garden, two hundred years of Pittsburgh, the Chihuly sculptures, everything...

We had a day at the end of our convention. I was told that conservatories light show was worth seeing. The mixture of lights and plants made for a great experience.

We went for the holiday lights on December 23. It was wonderful! Long lines going in, but you can skip the line if you're a member (membership is definitely worth it!). Once inside, it was not overcrowded. Highly recommend!

Since we were very busy during the period leading up to Christmas (my wife is a musician, an oboist), we had not gotten an opportunity to visit the Phipps Conservatory. We love to go there while the special exhibits are on display. So yesterday we made plans for a visit. Even though the Christmas show will be concluding on Sunday,... More
