What struck me about Moraine State Park was the simplicity. This park is a place for people to gather, picnic, swim, fish and go boating. Yes, they do rent a limited number of bicycles and small boats, but the big draw of this park is...More

Best part of our trip. Was great to get away from our terrible camp ground. Would like to spend more time there in the future.

We go with friends on their pontoon boat, and go to picnic area to eat. Good launch areas, excellent beach, picnic and swimming areas. Bike trails. Just a great place for no admission, one of the benefits of living in the Butler area!

You can ask the park rangers as you enter, There have been specific places in the past, but I am not sure if that regulation still exists.

Absolutely! My only issue with that beach has always been the abundance of goose feces. The sand is nice and kids of all ages love it. They have a lifeguard and a snack shop and plenty of picnic tables.
