Nice selection. I had crab cakes. Mostly crab & not much filler. Definitely a plus! My only complaint was a little slow.

Based on the previous reviews, we were prepared for potential "getting lost" throughout the hike. Luckily we just kept our eyes open and followed the blue arrows and markers. It seems that more clearer markers were drawn since there were comments around getting lost. My daughter (11) and nieces (14&11) enjoyed the hike. Level of difficulty will depend on you. My younger niece was more cautious and had more difficulty climbing, however the other two were happy climbing. As long as you take your time and are willing to touch the rocks when needed (which most of the second half), you should be fine. Like other reviews, once you get to the top, it's cool but not much of a view. (If you're used to seeing across water, or other mountain tops don't expect that here). Parking was not bad-- we pulled in around 11:30am and there were already 6 other cars so I pulled up by the edge of the lot. By the time we finished our hike, there were cars (~7 more) pulled up along the side of the lot and into the road, but that seemed to be normal. I don't recall a restroom, but we went into town about 10 mins away and got snacks and used the rest room there. It did take us about 1 hour up and 45 mins down which included stopping to take photos. We had lunch at the top so this trip was about 2 hours.

Maryann P noted in August that she encountered "rude employees" at a "rest area". From the description she gave, I can see that she paddled into the boat rental area, where docking by private vessels is not allowed. The last time I checked, there were signs in the concession area that clearly stated that. Rudeness is unacceptable, even if they are not state park employees. BUT they may have to shoo people away multiple times a day from their marked (and rented) docks, and can get sick of that. Certainly there ARE bathrooms there, you just can't dock your boat at the concession docks. A kayak might be able to just be beached there, but I can't remember if there is a good place to do that there. There are other docks at several boat launch areas with bathrooms at various points around the lake, most especially the marina, further north and east of the boat rental. By the way, ALL vessels, including kayaks, must have either a PA launch permit, a state park launch permit, or a PA boat registration. The fines are stiff if you are caught, even in a kayak, without such permits/registration.
