Awesome corn maze!
Oct 2021
My work decided to host a meeting at the farm. I enjoyed the meeting at this venue. They have a variety of activities for families, especially younger ones. Food was great, and the outdoor location for the meeting was good. We enjoyed the corn maze the most. It was one of the largest ones I have seen, with difficulties to make everyone at all ages feel accomplished. I would highly recommend this farm if in the area!

Aptly Named as an Adventure Farm
Oct 2021
Think of this as *adventure park meets the farm*

Cherry Chrest is a great place--I can't say enough thing about it. It's worth spending the day if you can be anywhere in the area. In full transparency, I'll say that we have a family member on staff there so I may be a bit biased; but I tried to keep critical thinking alive the entire time.

Our visit was on a very nice late-October afternoon and evening. Despite near-perfect weather, it was not terribly crowed. Any waiting was pretty reasonable.

We started our adventure with cider donuts--they just may be the BEST of their kind that I'd ever eaten. They were fresh, hot and delicous. (...and we left at the end of the day with a dozen to take home.) Donuts in hand we went to the corn maze which is one of the biggest, if not the biggiest, east of the Mississippi. We were given a good set of instructions and there are clues throughout the maze to help you--even the ability to collect pieces of a map along the route.

After the maze we stopped for a meal, sampling some of the many offerings. Among other things, the roasted corn is a *must-have* for those who love sweet corn. Even this late in the season the corn was great. The prices are not all that bad for such a place as this--certainly not the gouging that often occurs at entertainment venues.

We sampled some of the other things--the apple cannons were my favorite, and generally just enjoyed watching people adults, kids, teens..., having a great time.

I'm sure this is worth the trip any time of year; but I think a crisp fall afternoon/evening that we had is the ideal time.

Too crowded to access activities
Oct 2021 • Family
It’s extremely crowded here. We bought tickets to do the shooting activities but could not get near them due to the lines. My son had a great time rolling down the hill and playing tag with kids who also were not waiting in lines. Too many people. Might be a place that could use timed entry to cope with crowds. I don’t know but what I do know- I won’t be back because it’s so crowded. 14 people in line at the bathroom. 20 groups in line for food ahead of me at 4:15pm. Staff is very professional. Facilities are amazing. Just save your money and skip Fall Saturdays. There’s a corn maze here- take a hike instead. Roll down a hill at a park. Let your child play tag with new friends and that’s pretty much what we did today but we spent money to do it and couldn’t get close to the extra add ons we also purchased. We didn’t visit guest relations because- it’s obviously just all so crowded. I am a Disney fan so I’m used to crowds. This place just can’t cope with them. Try a weekday. Avoid avoid fall Saturdays. I will not be back and we’ve been visiting each Fall for more than 5 years.

A must do fall family activity.
Sep 2021 • Family
This is a great place to visit in the fall, but plan to be there all day. We spent 6 hrs and still didn't get to everything. For the 3rd tier admission, you get one ticket for the paintball, apple launcher, and nerf ball battle but anyone in your party can use them. It appears that you can bring your own food and drink but you have to get a grilled cheese. It's expensive but it will be the best grilled cheese you ever ate. Staff were all friendly. We will definitely be back next fall.

great day
Sep 2021
great for families and kids of all ages. We were there for 8 hours with our grandkids and we did not get to everything. The staff is friendly and helpful and it is well worth the price of admission. The cost of souvenirs and food is extremely high but they do allow you to bring in your own food.

Great Day at the Farm!!
Aug 2021 • Family
Our family of four spent a wonderful day at Cherry Crest Adventure Farm today. We’ve been to Lancaster a few times before but never visited this farm. However I’m so happy that we visited this time after coming across it when researching the area. The experience was so much more than I expected. There were SO MANY activities to choose from and the children had so many favorites - the corn maze, building a cabin, the small town, the sling shot, the slides, the basketball hoops and the pig races. The kids weren’t the only ones to have fun - my husband and I had a great time too. We loved watching the Strasburg Train pass by. It filled my heart to see the kids running around freely and enjoying themselves. We literally spent the whole day at the farm and by the time we drove out of the parking lot to dinner they were already asleep. We will be visiting again.

Fabulous for 3-10 year olds
Aug 2021 • Family
Not really a farm, but a wide open area with a large number of low-tech activities for kids.
Spread out over many acres, there are all kinds of activities, like:

- sling- shot area, where you can shoot balls at some targets
- bales of hay to climb on
- rope attached to a tractor, to pull the tractor
- climb on tractors
- pedal-driven buggies for 4 people
- a play area for 3-5 year olds with about a dozen small buildings: ice cream store, fire house, police station, veterinarian, diner, barn, theater
- shuffle board
- basketball
- huge slide (HUGE)
- many more

We arrived at about 10:00 and stayed til 4:00.

Very well worth the money.

We LOVED this place! And WILL return again!!!
Jul 2021
Where to start?!?!!?
We travel across PA and make it our vacation spot every year, for the past 8 years.
I was here 15 years ago on a PA Agriculture Teacher Conference, but never thought to return for some reason.
Have a friend that has traveled 5 hours to come here two years in a row and I finally decided we needed to return.
How have I missed this place for so many years?!?!?!?!
It was AMAZING!
When we first were driving up my husband said, "What else are we doing today?" I told him the plan was to stay here until closing (and then ride the Strasburg Railroad Train in the evening) and his response was, "How are we going to burn an entire day here?"
Well.... a pleasant SURPRISE to him! We did stay the entire day and could have stayed even longer!
It was HOT! and I didn't know the protocols, but I took 5 water bottles (one for each of us) in a drawstring bag figuring if bags or external beverages weren't allowed, it wasn't much of a loss. No one even checked our bag, which was a good thing!
This place isn't cheap, but it's worth every penny!
However, since it cost over $100 for a family of 5, I appreciate that you can take in your own beverages, maybe even food... not sure on that one.
We did end up buying two Gatorades and 3 Dippin Dots, but otherwise we drank our water and were able to refill the bottles at the water fountain near the bathroom.
Everything is very well spaced out.
Could just walk up and participate in all the desired activities.
No lines.
Fans with sprinklers to cool off.
Beautiful, clean and air conditioned bathrooms.
My husband and I only got the basic admission, but we bought the bonus admission for the children so they could do the apple blaster, paintball and nerf ball guns. WELL WORTH the upcharge!
We did not do any attraction twice due to time, but like I said, we could have if time allowed. The kids enjoyed it so much.
Kids were 9, 7 and 5. When we entered I had wondered if my 9 year old would be "too old" for it... but he was not! And we live on a farm. So I would think that a 12 year old that doesn't know much about agriculture, wouldn't be "too old" either!
We WILL return!
