We stayed at the RED CABOOSE and decided to take the short drive to see the trains. We then decided to buy tickets and took the train ride which was very pleasant. The cars are very comfy and in great condition. We enjoyed the fact that we could also open the window for some fresh air. The things we learned... More

We've been riding the Strasburg Railroad for nearly 30 years. The property is always very well cared for, neat and presentable. The train cars are clean and comfortable and always in great condition. The staff is pleasant and helpful. There are many price options for customers to choose from, from the open air car which we rode on this unseasonably-warm... More

This was our 4th time visiting though the first in off-season and on a non-Thomas day. Though the playground and all the other attractions were closed at the station, the train was enough for our 2 year old. We rode in couch as always and felt comfortable. I recommend sitting on the side that faces the train station platform at... More

Okay everyone.....this is something that most younger people will never get to do and that is to ride a real steam train. This bigger than life chance to jump on board and enjoy a 45-minute, round-trip ride through the tranquil Amish countryside will be one that everyone will enjoy. You board at the station and travel down to to Paradise,... More

First a Railroad then the museum. Right at the same place so be prepared to spend the day. This state became number 35 of our 50-State Quest done in 1997 . But that was on the west coast the first time. This review is our second time in the state doing the central area. We also did the east after... More

We have ridden the Strasburg Rail Road many times and we are never disappointed. Open-air cars are the way to go. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the scenery.

This was very enjoyable and could've been a little longer. We passed a lot of beautiful scenery and were given a narrated tour.

Took the grand kids again. Hadn't been on since the grandkids were very small. Only the oldest one of the 5 barely remembered it. Now they range in age from 10-16 and they all thoroughly enjoyed. Even the coal fired pot bellied stove which kept the rail car exceptionally comfy with the way that type of heat warms up the... More

Perhaps the food car would have been more interesting but it was sold out when we wanted to ride. We went as part of a combination ticket with the train museum. The car was beautifully restored and decorated for Christmas. A fun afternoon trip.

My son is a huge train buff, so we come often. This is one of the best historic rail roads we have ever visited. Beautifully restored, elegant cars, friendly staff, lovely views, comfortable station. Actually just held my sons birthday party here and I can't say enough about how awesome our Red Cap was and just the entire experience. Annual... More
