I often go visit Lake Perez at sunset. Quiet, serene and beautiful place to admire sunsets. Never seen being crowded so far. Well maintained by PSU.

Fun place to visit and hike! Lovely trails and lake. A great place to enjoy nature! Trails suitable for all family members - not too strenuous, but we haven't done them all.

I went to this place to have a picnic with friends! It is amazing, you can rent paddle and kayak, and the park is not too crowd! They have more activities for groups!

Went fishing here in June 2016. We rented a boat, which was in top shape. The water in the lake was clear and clean, with fish biting at the line.

We took our two year old granddaughter to Shaver's Creek to visit the Raptor Center. We all had a great time. She loved the owls, eagles, hawks, and the falcon. We listened to a presentation by one of the employees which was informative and interesting....More

Now that Lake Perez is (finally) refilled, Stove Valley is a great little outdoor gem about 25 minutes from downtown State College. An excellent place for canoe, rowboat, and sailboat rentals, or just to walk around. The raptor rehab center at Shavers Creek is an...More
