Interesting store built inside of the old mill. The shop has some nice informational signs explaining the Mill's history and for the most part it stands as it did.

We thought that Volant Mills would offer much more Amish crafts than we found. Disappointed with "made in China" products here and throughout the town of Volant. However, some interesting former mill artifacts.

Visited the end of July, just before the town’s “Potterfest.” The Mills is the true anchor of Volant, the one constant store. There is a wide variety of handmade goods located on several floors: baskets, rugs, place mats, napkins, candles, jewelry, glass art, and more....More

Very nice area of shoppes and a winery. One restaurant on the main street. The area has seasonal events, we were at the Witches contest.

We stopped in here while wandering around Western Pennsylvania, The building itself is worth stopping to see. They have an interesting collection of stuff, my wife liked the rocking chairs.

This little hamlet has so much potential but at this point, driving another hour to Ohio Amish country is the better option. There are several gift shops but you'll have deja vu by the time you get to the third one. The Amish "crafts" were...More

My wife was born and raised in this area. Lots of Amish families live around this area. The mill was where they brought their products to be ground. The store that now inhabits the place is almost exactly as it was when first built. The...More

Their website says Monday - Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday's hours are noon to 5 p.m. We were there around noon on a Saturday, and they were open and busy. However, I can't speak to other times during the week.
