We did the ACE basin trip. It is clear that the owners David and Kim run these trips because of their love for the area. We had a beautiful day and learned about the history of the area. On the surface, you might think the history lesson would be boring but David and Kim made it come to life. It... More

We did the ACE Basin tour with Kim just after Hurricane Mathew. We weren't even sure we were going to keep the Beaufort portion of our trip but we're so glad we did and so glad we found Beaufort Kayak Tours. We knew very little about the rice fields in that area and thoroughly enjoyed learning more about that history... More

On Labor Day weekend, our family of three joined Kim and David for the Dolphin and Salt Marsh Eco Tour. Our group size was pleasantly small (7 guests), so we could easily "huddle" our kayaks together now and then with David and Kim to pass around their binoculars to view the ospreys, pelicans, eagles, dolphins and other wildlife in the... So glad we didn't just rent kayaks and go into the water on our own. It was great having Kim and David's expertise, informing us about tides and wind conditions. We were not able to go out on open water due to these conditions, but were happy to go on the salt marsh tour. Learned so much about the local... More

David and Kim led our family (6 adults and 4 kids, ages 5 to 11) on a really fun and educational salt marsh tour. They were great guides and did an amazing job keeping the kids and adults entertained! They answered SO many questions and stopped in places to point out local wildlife (including shrimp, clams, oysters, lots of birds,... More

This was our second tour with Kim and David. It is the best way to experience this beautiful area. They are both so knowledgeable about the area, the history, the ecology and biology. We went on the Dolphin ecology tour. We were able to see a pod of dolphins as well as an eagles nest, several types of birds, a... More

We had the best time on the Dolphin Salt Marsh Eco Tour. Kim and David are so knowledgeable and easy going. We had a mix of folks, some younger, some older. We did see two dolphins with fairly young calves and they were beautiful to watch. They stuck around until one of our group decided he had to get closer... More

A great ride with Kim and David. Knowledgeable and personable guides; beautiful scenery; a trip not to miss for first time and experienced kayakers.

Twenty members of our Kayak Club travelled from Savannah GA to Hunting Island SC to take a 3 hour paddle with Kim & David. It was everything that was advertised. Kim is a wealth of information on the ecology of the island and David did an excellent job of leading us through the flats in the lagoon. The beach is... More

This was our third trip with Kim and David. As always, we had a great time and learned more about our coastal region. Both guides are friendly and very knowledgable about the Beaufort area. We paddled across the Fripp inlet on the hunt for Dolphins and saw a mom and her calf...so exciting! We highly recommend any of their tours,... More
