A Little Bit of Country... A Whole Lot of Fun! And everything's about apples!

We offer a bakery and pie factory where our famous pies and breads are made right before your eyes - everyday! We offer a cafeteria-style restaurant with paninis, burgers, poutine, pizza, specialty apple items, and more. Gifts, souvenirs and unique market items surround you as you browse our establishment. A fun, whimsical area awaits you where you'll feel 'like a kid in a candy shop' again! Our apple cider brewery offers FREE cider sampling and a wonderful selection of bottled apple-icious cider blends. Outside (weather permitting), you'll find Mr.Applehead, an observatory - and the world's largest apple-shaped structure, in which you can ascend inside to discover breath-taking vistas of surrounding countryside. We also offer a kiddie train-ride, outdoor activities such as mini-golf, ping pong, lawn bowling, animal attractions, and more! Best of all, all these activities are FREE!

Hello, Ryan and thank you for recent visit and nice review! We are pleased you enjoy seeing our bakery in action - they start early and work very hard to make and bake enough of all of the pies, breads and other goodies! We do have two rather distinct areas as well as the 401 Brewery and our recently opened... More

We stopped on our way home from Parry Sound to take a break. I didn't know there was a brewery there but that is a good addition to bakery. We stopped to get some apple crumble for lunches this week but my son had to get a piece for a snack. The little shop has been improved since the last... More

Dear, Julie - thank you for your continued patronage and recent review. We are sorry your recently-purchased bread had a hollow centre! Occassionaly, this happens and, on your next visit, please find a supervisor to discuss this issue further. Have a wonderful day! More

Visited The Big Apple for the first time after many years of seeing it off the highway. It is a kitschy tourist stop - first and foremost. We bought lemon squares that were pretty much inedible - just lemon pie filling on a virtually liquid graham cracker base - it was terrible. We each had a bite to verify how... More

Quick review of the big apple! If you like apples, lamas, sheep and hidden brewery well this might be the place for you. With my girlfriend we started it from by feeding the animals outside they were super friendly and hilarious. After having a few laughs went inside where you can get pretty much anything associated with apples. Lots of... More

Always stop by this place to pick up some apple bread when travelling by on the Hwy 401. They are known for their apple pies and during the week, can see them making the pies through the big glass. They have been adding several different items over the past few years in addition to the bakery store and big apple... More

Annual visit on our way home from The Royal Winter fair in Toronto. Prices a bit more expensive. Many apple dessert choices, candy and Christmas gifts. Very busy during our stop although checkout line moved fast.

I like pie. A lot. The Big Apple's 'Mumble Crumble Pie' is the best apple pie I've ever had...hands down. If you're passing by, it's worth the stop-in to have a little slice of heaven.
