We thought it would be mediocre because the building is so small, but it packed a lot of punch into the space. Very nicely displayed items. Enjoyed it very much.

This is not a large museum and many of the relics lack any real significance other than belonging to or allegedly belonging to a civil war soldier for the most part. Some, i.e. a small splinter from a tree near at a site where a...More

I love this museum. Even though it's small it's one of the best museums I've been to. My favorite part was seeing the actual flags that were used during the War Between the States. Remember, when you look at these flags, they were actually there....More

The museum had an abundance of artefacts (literally thousands) housed in a small room. If you are not already familiar with the Confederates and Civil War it doesn't give much information. It was OK for a poke around but it wasn't super interesting for someone...More

I came across this small, local museum as I was touring the Charleston Market (it sits directly above the market). Run by local volunteers from the Daughters of the Confederacy, the admission is only $5 and the hours are limited. The museum is one room,...More

My family and I visited the museum and I can say that it was the only museum we visited in Charleston that gave us the connection to history we were looking for. Although the museum itself is in a small space, they utilize every inch...More

This was a very interesting museum. It was $5 to enter and was one room with a LOT of information to look at. My boyfriend was very into it and it took him about 20 minutes to get through the whole thing.
