An historical gem and an active church in Charleston. Grab a fact sheet in the welcome center before entering to read and learn about the church. Graveyard adjacent to the church-recommend a stroll through after.

Viewed this Church on a free walking tour and it was magnificent! A great enduring structure of the 1700's

This church brings the 1700's to life. Beautiful in every way. It makes you want to whisper and tiptoe your way through. Hard to imagine how many souls have prayed in this old church! Definitely worth a stop while touring the town.

My friend and visited on a Sunday morning to see the church and the service. The building is amazing, shows people who loved God and built something to show His glory and majesty. However, the people are incredibly unfriendly, we got rude looks from the moment we arrived. The church is also incredibly NOT ethnically or racially reflective of the... More

Lovely old church. How often can you visit a church where George Washington also visited. The architecture is very much 1700's colonial and the building has been well cared for over the years. Worth seeing if you're visiting downtown Charleston.

Beautiful old church in the heart of Charleston. Would love to know more about the history of this beautiful building, but alas, was only there for the duration of the wedding.

Interesting in that original church plan has been pretty much kept and it is very much a 18th century Episcopal Church. Liturgically appears very conservative. Would like to return for Sunday service but even as a Episcopalian, I think I would rather go to Mother Emmanuel AME Church and probably will the next visit.

Very Unique and a great visit to a historical church!Nothing quite like this church in a tour setting to recall the history of Charleston.

... and so did General Robert E. Lee, when he was passing through Charleston - both in Pew 43, to be exact. An interesting detail on the lectern was the inclusion of a Cross with a Star of David, showing the religious diversity of the City of Charleston!
