It was interesting lots of stuff to see but pricey. I didn’t buy anything because i was interested in the baskets but they are very pricey. Very touristy place. If you need to kill an hour or two its a good place to go

We really enjoyed wandering & shopping in Market Square. There were so many artists & vendors that I'm sure there's something for everyone. There was even an air conditioned section which was a wonderful respite from the heat & humidity. There is restrooms & food...More

It's a large market and it will take at least an hour to walk through it (assumes some stops). It contains all types of arts and craft, food, and other items. There are clean public restrooms in the market.

Take your time to meander, smell and eat your way through this market. Some of it is outdoors and some airconditioned.

I don't think you can say you've been to Charleston if you don't go through at least part of this 4-block long Market. If you can't find it at this market, you can't find it in Charleston. Holy cow, this place was amazing.

A nice stroll through a multitude of vendors, many very unique. But large majority of it is definitely geared towards tourists and seems quite overpriced.

We were fortunate to be staying across Market Street from Market Square giving us the chance to see the ebb and flow of shoppers during the day. A great place for picking up the normal and unusual souvenir of the city and finding a snack...More

Lindy I'm not sure if it is. I can't see why it wouldn't. It's a tourist place so maybe!

Parking is available alongside the market, If you plan to park there I highly suggest you get there very early. Otherwise there is a parking garage located off King Street which isn't too far of a walk to city market. Plus... More

It's an open air market, but I don't recall seeing any and it's not listed as being dog friendly on the Bring Fido website.
