Had a great tour behind the scenes to see how the fish are fed and how their food is prepared. A definite must do!

No, this is not historical as most events in Charleston are, but it is worth the time. This is a serious aquarium presented in a very entertaining and interesting way. I have been in aquariums with flashing lights and tunnels and more and that is...More

We had some time to kill before our flight and chose this on a rainy day in January. Overall, we enjoyed it, even though we are not aquarium people. One of the best parts of the aquarium was the Sea Turtle hospital. The staff who...More

I love Aquariums big or small. It’s so interesting seeing fish, turtles, sharks, jellyfish all in their habitats. You can touch starfish or string rays or small sharks or urchins. I enjoyed seeing all the different fish, alligators, turtles, snakes etc. A must see if...More

The aquarium is located by the harbor right next to the liberty square (for trips to fort Sumter). It's a two story exhibition. Theres an outdoor area where you can pet the sting rays so it was fun. There's a turtle hospital and it was...More

The South Carolina Aquarium in Charleston, South Carolina, may not be the finest aquarium in the United States. But it makes very good use of the space it has and it features several very interesting and educational exhibits for children and adults to enjoy and...More

My boyfriend and I enjoyed our visit today. It’s a smaller aquarium but a nice place to go. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. I’ll be going back soon, hopefully as a volunteer.

Be advised, you're paying close to $30 for about an hour of viewing wonderful creatures, though the variety is limited. I am an avid diver and love aquariums as they offer the public a glimpse of the wonderful world sub-surface. This aquarium was not worth...More

Hi there, thank you for taking the time to review us. You are correct in assuming that proceeds from admission support the South Carolina Aquarium Sea Turtle Care Center, and they also support the care of all the animals here. For those adults looking to...More

I went to the harbor for a history cruise, but arrived early and had some time to visit. I hadn't been to an aquarium for years and wasn't sure what to expect. The first exhibit I went to was the sea turtle rescue. Such important...More

It's more indoor, but there were two exhibits that were outdoors. The stingray exhibit was covered so it was nice and cool, but I don't remember if the bird exhibit was covered or not.
