The centre has a short term car park but it was full when we got there and we had an absolute nightmare trying to park somewhere nearby. The staff were helpful and the rest rooms clean. We only had a few hours left in Charleston and were well advised how to spend them and where to park. Just across the... More

This one is important. You can get a very good idea of the places and things you want to see and do. Multi admission tickets are sold at a better rate than singles at the sights. You leave with a much better understanding of the Low Country.

When you visit the city of Charleston, go to this center first. All kinds of information available as well as discounts. Parking is also available with trolley service if you want to go downtown and leave your car parked.

Usually when I visit a city I hit the ground running. I did a little internet research on Charleston before I arrived, but needed to narrow my focus a little, so I decided to give this a shot. It's the only place to obtain the Heritage Pass (multiple house tours, museums and plantations for one price). There are many people... More

This renovated building near historic Charleston is easy to get to on the free shuttle buses that traverse the city and a good stop to get info on tours and learn a little about Charleston history.

Lots of brochures for tourists plus educational displays about the area. There are people available to help you with transportation and lodging needs. We picked up the free trolley outside and rode around for awhile...a great way to get a feel for the area. The center also has restrooms and a gift shop.
