We took this tour early on New Year's eve, only four of us on the tour. Our tour guide Alan was very knowledgeable and informative. Be sure to ask for him. We spent about 1 1/2 hrs. touring the historic district. Hlghly recommend this tour for the best overview of the history of Charleston.

We met several tours there during our 4 days in Charleston SC. It's in a great location and the old train station looks great from the outside. Inside there is not much to look at.

First stop! We bought a tour from the visitor's center that was great! Good package options and a nice place to stop, especially if you have never been to Charleston, which we haven't until now. The tour was not very expensive, and it was so convenient to hop right on to go on the tour. So far, Charleston is a... More

If you cannot stay for more than 3 days, you must visit the Visitors Center. Great history information, brochures and information of the area, people and history. Tour buses leave from this location and the free shuttle service is centered here too.

While we didn't actually go in the visitor center itself, this place has RV parking in the garage! You can easily park your RV and walk to so many of the great spots in downtown Charleston. It was so easy and convenient! The woman working the gate even came out of the booth to reach up to my window so... More

Most city visitor centers focus on promoting the city's attractions. I suspect the Charleston Visitor Center does, as well, but we were hijacked by one of the staff promoting a travel agency "freebie." Go see the hour presentation of how they can help save you money, and you can get free tours of Charleston and 50 bucks off dinner. The... More

Nichole was the young lady that made suggestions and helped my wife and I plan our Charleston getaway. Our trip got started on the right foot thanks to her. The city of Charleston is very lucky to have someone like her.

Knowing nothing about Charleston we stopped here on the way into town. Parking was tight but well worth the stop. Spent almost an hour there and could have stayed longer but we were psyched to see town after seeing all the stuff around the area on the walls. Grabbed a handful of brochures and on the way out it occurred... More

This is a great source for Charleston info - if you get the right person. On our first visit, a younger staff member, who was not very knowledgeable about her own city (we had to point out tourist highlights), could not wait to be rid of us so that she could go back to surfing her phone. We came back... More

If you are looking for information, this is the place to go. They have a parking garage that is handicap accessible, in fact ALL of South Carolina has free parking if you have a handicap hang tag or license plate. When we were at the info ctrl they had a beautiful art display. The restrooms are clean, very clean! You... More
