Absolutely very helpful. Free trollys, which runs 3 different routes. If you take each one it gives you a very nice tour of the city in a nutshell. Then you can decide where you want to spend more time. We took each bus and they come on time and on a regular schedule. You can get off at a location... More

The staff was very friendly and helpful but we were signed up for a timeshare promo without really knowing it. We weren't happy about that. We got free tours but the presentation lasted 2 hours. Be aware.

In all of my travels I have never found a visitor center that is as good as this one. From the information available to the staff it is second to none. My suggestion to tourism officials is to come study how these wonderful people do it and emulate them.

Great place to get information on what to do in Charleston. Maps, books, etc available. Will book tours for you. Staff knowledgeable and friendly. In Feb a great place to park while exploring the Historic area. On Meeting Street, about 1 mile to S Battery. Cost $2/ hr, max $16.

Parking in Charleston could be costly. We parked at the Visitor Center for reasonable $. We then took the FREE bus around town that you can get on and off at different locations along the way. You can also get discounted rates for attractions the the visitor center.Glad we visited and parked here.

It's one of the best visitor centres I have been to, they have information on everything just as you'd expect and the staff are lovely. I believe you can also buy tickets in there to and there are lots of leaflets that you can choose and take away as well as maps.

When you arrive in Charleston, start here. First off, they have great people that give you lots of options of all the visitor things to do in the city. The best part is the prices you pay there are cheaper than if you buy them directly. We took a carriage ride, $19,50 here and $25 at the carriage place!

Easy to find. Along several bus routes. Information is grouped by geographic area and by interests. Helpful staff. Cute little gift shop for quick souvenirs.
