I love coming here. There are swinging benches, overlook to the whole harbor including the battleship, bridge, and fort sumter. The park itself is a lovely place to walk or people watch. The infamous pineapple fountain is here and in the summer all the fountains...More

If you love to watch cargo ships, see dolphins, walk along the water, have a picnic lunch out of the sun or enjoy a cozy swing with your honey, this is the place. Fabulous place to enjoy Charleston and the lovely Cooper River.

Nice pier...with resident artisans, waterfowl, and dolphins frequenting the area. Also an abandoned sailboat washed upon shore, which somehow added to the charm. The park itself has two lovely fountains lit by night. Perfect for an early morning, mid-afternoon, or late night walk of 30...More

The park runs from the battery area down and around the waterfront. We just started walking down meeting street and walking around looking at the historical homes in the area. Quite a few homes had historical markers denoting the time period the home was built...More

This waterfront park is a great way to enjoy family and be outside near the ocean, enjoying the peace and tranquility of nature. I always try to advocate to get outside and enjoy the weather, especially by the water. The salt water cleanses your lungs...More

Considering so much of the downtown CHS waterfront is ugly this fairly long stretch is a nice respite. A quiet place to walk or sit. Two fountains adorn it and nice views are available.

It is a City of Charleston park, so there are definite restrictions. I'd call the city and ask. Parking can be a problem, and there are always LOTS of tourists, so any sort of privacy will be difficult. Not so sure if you... More
