Old cemetery we visited to see the buriel site of the Hunley crews! We love history, The cemetery is out of the way and the Hunley site is in the back but everyone should visit this history.

We decided to see an historic burial ground and this was recommended. Yes, there are Magnolia trees, just blooming and a respectful memorial to the civil war soldiers buried there.. and oh yes, don't fed the alligator warning sign by the pond.

This is such a beautiful cemetery, so much history can be found here. There’s also a sadness that comes from seeing all the children’s graves. It’s a nice place for a quiet and peaceful walk.

The transit (CARTA) runs from the city to Cunnington Street but there are no tour buses allow in Magnolia Cemetery. You would have to inquire with the shuttle service as to what they offer.
