Hi, my name is Brian Simms and I am a 10th generation Charlestonian. Our All About Charleston tour features the history, culture and architecture of the area. We will stroll the streets and alleyways of the "Holy City" while sharing stories along the way, covering overall Charleston history, the people who built this city and its trials and tribulations. There is a rich history and culture I would like to share and look forward to showing you the sights of our area, creating an experience you will remember for years to come!

The Charleston Sole Walking Tour was a fabulous way to begin our stay in the charming city of Charleston. The overview of the history of this beautiful city set the stage for our visit and enriched our time there. Our guide was very personable, and she fascinated us with great knowledge and interesting facts dating back hundreds of years, spanning... More

Brian offered us the BEST tour of historic Charleston possible. His depth of knowledge astonished us, as he gave historical facts and anecdotal tales of old Charleston. Thanks to him we have a deeper understanding of the South from Revolutionary days to its current state.

My wife and I walked with Brian in February of 2016. This year we planned an impromptu day trip to Charleston with family. The obvious choice was Charleston Sole. Unfortunatly Brian was booked for a private tour and unavailable. So I called Brian to see if he could recommend another walking company. Brian was able to make an associate available... More

We did a private tour with our family. Brian was very informative. My father in law is disabled and Brian was able to accommodate him. We were still able to go into several buildings even engaging with a preteen. He made it fun for me who gets bored with history. He also made stops at CLEAN bathrooms without us having... More

We really enjoyed our tour with Brian. We got lucky and we're the only people on the tour (is was a Monday in February). Brian knows so much about the history of Charleston and is clearly passionate about it. He had so much information to share and tons of stories to go along with it. We loved our tour. Bring... More

We learned so much from Brian. He is full of knowledge of his city and presents that knowledge so efficiently. His historical facts interspersed with "colorful" people stories kept you listening all the time. Charleston is a friendly city and Brian is the friendliest. He is a native of the city and represents it well. It is advertised as a... More

It was our first time visiting Charleston and we really enjoyed the walking tour with Brian. He did a great job weaving old and new facts about Charleston. I appreciated how he was able to make the tour fun, engaging and informative. You could tell he loves sharing his knowledge about the city and knows the neighborhood/its residents very well... More

I had a great time with the tour guide Fin - my fiance, dad, and I went on the tour this past Friday morning. Fin was extremely knowledgeable and showed us all of the details - large and small - that the old part of Charleston has to offer! We went into one of the oldest operating theaters in the... More
