I brought a four different groups of my employees out on the Charleston Pirate Tours, and I have to say our experience was incredible!  Sabrina was extremely easy to work with and worked around our schedule for booking and Eric (our guide) was absolutely the best!  The prices are more than reasonable and the experience was not only informative, but an absolute BLAST!  This would be a... Eric is a great storyteller but some of the stories had too much detail - especially family relationships - and lost my kids attention. There's also not much in terms of history sites to be seen.

Sorry that you thought there was too much detail. That's what most of our guests appreciate about the tour. Perhaps you should have taken the kids on our Children's Tour, which is shorter, has less detail, and has hands-on activities throughout the tour. As far as the sites go... we begin the tour in an 18th century building that was... More

This was the second year in a row that our children asked to go on this tour since they absolutely had a great time last year. Sabrina is not only very knowledgeable about the history of Charleston, but she makes the info very interesting. Would definitely recommend this tour.

Sabrina was great! Was so knowledgeable about all things Charleston, from the pirates to today. She weaved a really great story through several neighborhoods. My Mom & I really enjoyed learning about all the history. We learn something new every time we visit! Can't recommend the day time tour enough!

We went with Sabrina today on the walking pirate tour and it was fantastic. She did such a great job of keeping all of us interested and engaged including two 9 year old girls. My daughters made a point of telling me that Sabrina made all the stories interesting and fun to listen to. Appropriate level of gore and detail... More

I would absolutely recommend this to anybody who has an interest in all things pirate related, our guide Eric was phenomenal and told us lots of things not previously known. Also as I am British and there were only two of us on our tour he taylored his talk to incorporate things that we would find relevant to us personally.... More

I see this tour differently from the review by PatA222 below. I think that the pirate garb added to the ambiance of the setting. I am not being Polyannish, I realize that there is a large amount of conjecture and a total lack of verifiability in the tour guide's stories but that is the nature of the tour. In this... More

My guess is many positive reviews relate to the daytime/children tours. We took the night ghost tour & while there was some pirate stories, felt it unnecessary for the tour guide Eric to be dressed in pirate garb as we walked about the city. The stories were only ok and seemed to get more unbelievable as the time went on-... More

I'm sorry that the tour didn't meet your expectations. Your guess about positive reviews relating to our daytime tours is incorrect. I hope that other readers will read further and see that we get 5-star reviews for our evening tour as well as our daytime pirate history tour and our children's tour. We don't market the evening tour as an... More

We went on a girls trip to Charleston, SC and this was one of the things I was looking forward to the most. I was not disappointed! I have done a ghost walk in Charleston before that was pretty uninteresting. Sabrina was so entertaining, funny, and most importantly, knowledgeable. There were a few children (not my own) in the group.... More
