The story of Christophe Artisan Chocolatier-Patissier is, above all else, a story of love. A story that, at its core, is about one man's love for sharing his creations with others and his dedication to his French origins. Christophe Paume is the rarest of artisans, a third-generation French chocolatier, who grew up in his father's patisserie in Toulouse, France. Alongside his father, he learned to create exquisite French pastry, the highest quality chocolates, succulent gelato, and every type of bread imaginable. After attending the CFA de Muret, Christophe moved to Paris and worked at Entremet de France, refining his hand-painted, one-of-a-kind creations of dark, white, and milk chocolate ganache and chocolate truffles. For the next ten years, he continued to work in the family business and traveled to Montreal to work at Patisserie de Gascogne. He also achieved his Brevet de Maitrise, Master in Pastry. While it was his passion for fine chocolate that brought him to the United States, it was love that kept him here. In 2009, he married Carly, a sales rep for the same chocolate company he worked for, and they formed Christophe Artisan Chocolatier-Patissier.

Rich flaky croissant style donut coated with sugar dusting, filled with vanilla cream, and topped with white icing. No we are not done. On the bottom is thicker goo of cinnamon/brown sugar glaze (Think monkey bread). $4 for a donut, expensive you say? Not for...More

Nice selection of truffles and macaroons. Very tasty eclairs. All good but a little expensive. No surprise there but the cost kept me from giving it 5 stars.

My wife and I stopped in here on an anniversary trip. She likes French press coffee, so this shop was a perfect choice. The selection of chocolates and pastries is wonderful, and there are gluten-free selections, as well (limited in relation to the entire spread,...More

I have never in my life tasted a macaron like this. They were amazing!! The texture and flavors were just so good. It has raised the bar for me.

This little out of the way place makes the best chocolates, croissants, and pastries that you will ever experience. My wife and I always have breakfast here whenever we visit Charleston. The croissants are to die for and the tarts are equally delicious. They serve...More

This is a pretty place with beautiful chocolates. The chocolates are all different colors. I enjoyed everything that I had. That being said I found all the bon bons to be a bit too sweet for my taste. Hence 4 stars not 5. I cannot...More
