We took a carriage tour of Historic Charleston and when we we where finished went to the market where they have many offerings. I bought a sterling silver ring which was reasonably priced and enjoyed browsing the market.

Nice way to spend a Saturday morning. Fresh produce, food vendors, music and performers, jewelry, paintings, spices, breads, tea, coffee - you name it - it's here. We like our Summerville Farmers Market but once in awhile a change is fun.

The Farmers Market in Marion Square is a pleasant way to spend a Saturday morning in a serene setting. The market isn't huge, but it does have a variety of food and craft booths, jumping houses for children, and live entertainment. The market is not a must-do or must-see, but it's a good place for locals to buy produce and... More

If you're up early on Saturday - we had eaten at Lost Dog in Folly Beach and had to kill time before the seafood market in Mt. Pleasant opened at 9 - take a stroll through the farmer's market at Marion Square in Charleston. The produce is impressive - but there's more than produce. There were many vendors selling art... We stopped in on the last day of our trip and really enjoyed the market. It covers the square and had a lot of really cool food and craft vendors along with people selling local food and produce. It was a fun way to spend the morning and a cheaper way to come home with rice/grits than going through the... More

This is a great market with lots of options. Farm fresh food, ready to eat food, and a lot of cool local arts & crafts. I highly recommend a visit.

Lots of local farmers with fresh produce and specialty food items. We always enjoy this market with its seasonal variety and richness. You pay a tad more than in supermarkets, not the freshness is well worth it. Lots of yummy food vendors as well.

If you are used to typical local farmers' markets, this one will surprise you. There are bountiful offerings of beautiful, colorful locals veggies and fruits to be sure. But there's also skillfully-made crafts, art, photography, jewelry, pottery, and so much more. I could have spent a lot more time there... and for sure, a lot more money!

When visiting Charleston, we make sure we are there over the weekend to go to the farmers market on Saturday morning. We always stay at Lodge Alley Inn and it is only .7 of a mile for us to have a nice brisk walk. They have local artisans, food booths and produce sellers. I found produce to be extremely high... A Saturday morning at the CHS Famers Market is a wonderful experience with something to offer everyone, food, crafts and of course fresh produce. It's a must for anyone in town; local or visiting!
