We stopped in after our carriage tour. This historic church was visited by George Washington and Robert E. Lee; you're able to stand in the pew where they sat. The church is beautiful, and worth a quick stop in. It also air conditioned which is...More

This church is quite tall. And looks somewhat European. It's a little bit away from the other attractions but I walked over to look at it. I love churches. It's nice. And tall and worth 5-20 minutes to look at.

There are quite a few large churches and cathedrals in the historic section of Charleston but most seem to be locked up during the day. This cathedral is open for visits or tours 11-3 daily. We stopped in and ended up staying for the Wed...More

This church has just been redone. The carpets removed and the organ plays even better! The trumpets are fantastic! This is a must see church.

One of the great advantages of an old city like Charleston is the architecture. And some of the best samples of this architecture are the churches. St. Matthews is one of many churches that tourist and locals alike enjoy visiting this beautiful place of worship.

Even though they appear to be going through change in their leadership they were very warm and welcoming to us as visitors. Love how pretty it was inside too. Could feel the Lord's presence. God Bless you!
