The beach and area are beautiful. It was quiet. BEWARE!!!! After my own bad experience, and researching other sites, this town is notorious for speed traps by their local police on Jungle Rd and on Palmetto Blvd. We did not see the speed limit sign....More

Great location with many public Access points never far from the beach. We stayed at the Wyndham Resort. Best beach access point but it cost is the State Park, it has outside showers and dressing rooms and many picnic tables.

We just spent the weekend there, it was awesome.. private section of thd beach with dolphins swimming 30 feet from us.. can't ask for a better view!!!

I don't recall seeing a rental car provider anywhere on the island. The nearest place might be in Hollywood or West Ashley. You'd probably have to stop there first and pick up the car, but that's a guess.
